Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many hotels popping up with the increase in international flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines and temples with ancient origins including Anamori Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is visited by more than 300,000 people in October's Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.
A community park in Ota, Tokyo.
It has a large campground, sandy beach and dog run. There are enclosures for picnic and barbeque as well.
One can see the flights take off from Haneda Airport. Also, watch the movement of ships and vessels entering ports in Tokyo.
Take a Keikyu bus Mori32 (Jonanjima round route) from JR Omori-eki east exit,...
The famous medieval Buddhist reformer Nichiren passed away at the residence of two of his lay disciples, Ikegami Munenaka and Munenaga. They donated the land to build the temple, while some of their relatives entered the clergy and became abbots at the Honmon-ji temple. It is one of the very few, if not the only one, that regularly displays their...
We arrived at Haneda late at night and immigration clearance was a breeze. Did not have time to shop but we had ample time to shop on our way back.
We flew in from Sapporo and took a shuttle bus from the domestic terminal to the international terminal. The airport was huge.
We left one luggage back at the domestic...
Accidentally chance upon this shop and noticed the never ending queue outside the shop thou it was moving quite constantly.
Only three combinations to order from which it's why they could move the orders fast.
Ordered the chicken and egg bowl as I preferred some meat to go along with the rice.
Crack a fresh egg over the bowl and...
Tried a couple of items on the winter menu and it was great, but broth was on heavy side. The noodles with tofu with clear soup was nicely balanced.
The "big bowl" never disappoints for those on a hungry stomach.
Pretty much an international chain especially in Asia.
We ordered meal set and were pleasantly surprised with its quality.
Service was prompt and efficient. Good value in airport as many others were very expensive.
When i first got to know this dish, it did not impress me at all. It was just deep fried pork cutlet with panko served with shredded cabbage, miso soup and rice. The good tonkatsu restaurants usually have their own secret sauce. It was not even originally from Japan.
Our recent trip to Japan has changed my attitude toward this...
"Perfect for a Transit Hotel with terminal access"

Located airside at HND this hotel is perfect for a short stay 4 - 8 hours nap and shower. The rooms are small and but comfortable. Quiet, no airport noise and the bath room is well stocked with all you need to freshen up.
Booked a room for 4. After adding the 2 additional beds, there is hardly any space to open the luggage bags. I had to place my opened luggage bag on the sofa. Luckily it’s only for one night. Room was nicely decorated and the toilet was impressive. Hardly any restaurants nearby, have to walk 10-15 mins to the street where...
I stayed in this hotel mainly because the early flight on the next morning. Very updated hotel, big room, clean and neat washroom I appreciated. The breakfast is included and good selection. We like to stay this hotel very much! A good stop over hotel can think about it next time.
Large size room, relative to typical Tokyo hotel room, well furnished with all the little stuffs travellers might appreciate such as toiletries and stuff. Very comfortable bed and room. Just beware which site you book hotel because I used Trip.com unknowingly it's only for one person despite a twin bed. Got to pay extra ¥3200 for another person.
The room is small, but this was not an issue since I was not sharing it with anyone during my stay. They provided the usual amenities plus I requested some extra supplies, the air-conditioning was also good and reliable. My stay included breakfast which was available very early in the morning, the food choices were great and plentiful. Staff were...
