The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
The Avenue is longer than 5 km and goes along the whole Copacabana Beach. It is wide, plenty of beach bars, great view on Pao de Acucar, traditional market near lifeguard posto 5 every evening, nice stroll during day time and early evening. Be careful early morning and late evening when the place gets a large share of homeless people,...
A much needed treat after a day in Rio taking in the sights.... great coffee and cake. Nice place for a wander and take in the view. Gift shop and the military on the gate were friendly. Great afternoon.
"No matter what you do, take your picture with this iconic statue"

The famous poet Carlos Drummon de Andrade symbolize the life style of "carioca": sitting in the sidewalk, watching the life and the people passing by. Take your picture with him, it is iconic and unforgettable nice to be in Copacabana with this personality. Lovable.
We had steak with button mushrooms and risotto and it was great. Service was very fast. For what you get it is slightly on the pricy side. It is not worth travelling all the way for it but if you are nearby go for it.

Just checked out from a 5 night stay Feb. 15 to 20, 2018. The service is fantastic from the check in to breakfast service, bellmen, to housekeeping. The room was larger than expected with a king size bed , beautiful bathroom and very nice toiletries. The complementary breakfast buffet was phoneminal. Omelets, cheeses, fruits, pastries and breads. Most anything you...
Anniversary lunch with my wife. Excellent food, excellent service, quality was superb, especially the pastry chef who performed rather well. The start of oysters, camarão, then scallop cerviche was superb. Excellent salad choice, lobster tails, salmon, king prawns, lamb, beef, great choice of European cheese, choice of 10 beautiful desserts, need I go on?
We will be back, best restaurant...
Service is great, and location is also fantastic. Copacabana is a good place to stay, nevertheless, the hotel is a bit old and not as same level as other JW Marriots around the world. Breakfast is excellent, varied and fresh, and the service there of Vagner is remarkable! (he speaks Italian and is friendly and always helpful).
My father and I visited the hotel for Carnaval 2018 (6 days, 5 nights). The location was amazing, right on the beach. Towels, chains and umbrellas were all provided free of charge. The staff was courteous and helpful. We also were assisted by our tour guide Camila Feher, who went out of her way to provide stellar service during the...

This hotel has a very good location and has a good cost / benefit. BUT.... IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO EVEN CALL THEM OR MAKE CONTACT -:(. Good luck in trying to stay here. I've been trying for 3 days just to call them, and no one answers. E-mail doesn´t work either!
