The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
Pedestrian walkway and road thay cocers whole bay of Coacabana beach. You will see some of the most incredibly toned bodies walking by in skimpy clothing !! Pk there are some wrinklies too ! Lots of each chironguitoa for drinks and food- snacks and main meals. Street vendors who are not at all aggressive in selling. The most perfect beach...
I was looking for confeitaria colombo. I didn’t know it was inside the fort. You pay only 6 reais to enter. Inside there are two restaurants. Good views from everywhere and a couple of historical expositions. Unfortunately everything is in Portuguese only.
I would recommend. It is cheap, nice view and the actual fort is impressive.
Carlos Drummond de Andrade was a Brazilian poet. His statue is on a good spot on Copacabana beach which means there are plenty of people who sit next to him to have his picture taken.
We actually never did get to sit next to him, it was just too busy.
We found this bakery on trip advisor. Staff lovely and really amazing selection of brownies and cakes. Definitely recommend the iced cappuccino or frappe as was like an incredible milk shake. The sandwiches were lovely too! Small space but worth going for breakfast/ lunch/ sweet stop!
Emile Restaurant inside the hotel Emiliano is part of any gastronomy tour in Rio de Janeiro. The French-born chef, Damien Montecer leads the classy restaurant mixing Brazilian products with international flavors. Degustation menu is superb! Service is outstanding. Perfect location for a business, romantic or casual dinner.
The best seafood I’ve had since I moved to Rio & my new favorite restaurant- fresh, tasty, well priced & super nice staff. I look forward to returning & trying everything on the menu. Highlight from my visit was the sardine starter - crispy skin, juicy salty flesh - amazing.
lovely seafood pasta- plenty of large prawns, clams and calamari. they dont seem to get mussels here ?- maybe they are a cold water species - will check as didbt get them in another restaurant with seafood pasta ! fresh pasta. efficient and friendly staff.
The hotel is beautiful. The facilities are very well equipped. There’s a Michelin restaurant at the hotel. Great amenities and service, the breakfast is good! Safe environment. Everything is just so perfect
Our original trip to Brazil included one week in Rio (where we stayed at the Mirimar). Our first week in Rio was fab and we loved our stay at the Mirimar. The staff are incredibly friendly, they speak wonderful English and we were even greeted with sparkling wine.
The hotel has great facilities and the pool on the top floor...
Indeed the boutique ' shutter' hotel. I say this because of the unique design. Each of the beach facing rooms has a unique shutter system to give more privacy and optional shade. - alternatively, with floor to ceiling windows you can also lay in bed and get great views of Copacabana Beach. Very attractive hotel externally. Bedroom light and bright...
This hotel was fantastic in which to stay. The service, staff, accommodation, location, breakfast and setting was excellent. There was nothing which could be faullted. We had an ocean facing room which was the final superb touch. I would stay there again and recommend it highl.
We stayed here for five nights.
When checking in we had to wait for about 20mins as it was busy. They could possible open more counters for busy periods.
The staff at reception where very friendly so where the door and lobby staff.
We got given a room on the 27th floor. And was amazed by the view from the...
