Part of the historical centre of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighbourhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.

Beautiful views from the top floor... despite the TA page advising there is a free period 3-4pm, there is a R$30 charge... but you get a glass of wine or prosecco with this to enjoy the amazing views of the city for an unlimited time.
After, I was invited to go to the Piano bar where the views are arguably...
I would say 4-5 stars for the building which is really nice, a 1929 art deco tall building with a mansion on top that you can see well from Banespa building (paying visit, not free as some guidebooks say), but 1 star for the visit since you can no longer climb on top.

If you just drop in to "A Casa do Porco" by coincidence, choosing it as you pass by in the street, you will be very happy with what they offer. The pork in all its preparations is delicious and the prices are quite friendly. To acompany the pork they have a good selection of wine, soft-drinks and even their own...

"Excellent food and service "

I visited on a work visit to São Paulo based on other reviews and was very impressed with both the food and service. All staff made an effort to make sure I was served quickly and with exactly the food I wanted despite my lack of Portuguese. The steak was cooked perfectly for the main, in a rich pepper sauce....
So beautiful and luxurious and romantic. It's the perfect date spot for a special occasion. The food was decadent, the service was great, and the view is spectacular. Pricey of course but worth it, as it's a special place.
Great food and place. The localization is not the best but that's a governmental issue. The restaurant have no liability on this one. But the place is fine, the service is good and the price is a little high, but acceptable.
The hotel is located not far from the old and historical part of the city. It is not one of the nicest places (a lot of homeless people, drug addicts dwelling around, a lot of young men hanging around which does not really give a very safe feeling to me woman alone). At the same time it was mentioned to...
Nice Hotel in the center of sao paulo very clean and comfortable, good location close by everything, not really good during the night.
Good staff everything ok, good prices, WiFi good, aircon good no problems
Having travelled for many years to many places, this hotel has the unique distinction of being the worst I've ever experienced. Having been moved from my first room because water drips from a leaking aircon unit kept me awake all night, I have been moved to another - with the same problem!! the response from the hotel..... to attach a...
The hotel is quite ok - it is good value for money, the location is close to the centre (though not in the best neighbourhood), breakfast is ok, the rooms are ok..
Wifi was very slow, and sometimes not working.

As a solo female traveler, age 77, safety is at the top of my list. Also, I no longer eat dinner in clubs at 11pm. I need walking distance to Metro and
good restaurants that will serve dinner at 8 pm. Hotel Boulevard Inn meets these demands and more. The staff is unfailingly courteous and helpful. My room was large...
