I love the Gendusa Bakery. They don't sell their bread retail, yet if you walk by and door is open, they'll gladly sell you as many loaves as you want.
John Gendusa was the originator of the fluffy loaf of bread with flat ends that Bennie and Clovis Martin used in their poboy sandwiches given out free to the striking...
Today some family and I visited this restaurant for the first time in a long time and we were all very displeased.
The waiter was too busy making jokes that she completely messed up our order not once but twice.
The food finally arrived and it was unbelievable how disgusting it was.
I do not recommend eating here.
Their desserts are amazing! And they never sell day old donuts. Everything is handmade from scratch! Their prices are comparable to the other bakeries in the city. They are a nice family owned business. And I stop there at least 3 times per week and I am never disappointed!
