Popped in for lunch last Wednesday. Warm welcome, vast menu. Choose from a snack or a full blow out. I opted for scampi, my friend, roast of the day. Both meals arrived promptly and were both red hot. Very ample portions. Tasty and flavoursome. Lovely welcoming and helpful stuff. Part of the pub is dog friendly. A definite plus for... More

As we were staying just across the road from the pub it made sense to try it out. Glad to see it was dog friendly too. There was a good choice on offer including vegetarian and fish of the day. I had fish pie which was delicious and not too huge. Came with selection of fresh vegetables. My friend had... More

Visited the Hermitage Inn while staying in Warkworth, excellent food and service, highly recommend the haddock, oh and the homemade chips are excellent. Enjoyed the overall experience and will be re-visiting before we unfortunately have to go home.

Had a couple of meals in here. Had the Sunday carvery. Allowed 2 meats. The Yorkshire pudding was lovely and it was nice to have mashed potato as well as roast. Had sticky toffee pudding for afters. Midweek had Steak Pie with puff pastry, lots of beef in it. Had it with chips and peas. Lovely

We weren't actually intending to eat, just a drink, but ended up having a meal. Largely due to the enthusiasm of the licensee and general ambience of the place. It was early evening and the time was right.

We popped in here for lunch after visiting Warkworth Castle with my wife and two young children, our plan was just to have a quick bite to eat. The visit was on a Sunday therefore my wife and I had the carvery. I can say without a doubt this was one of the best carvery's I have ever eaten. I... More

We had our evening meal here and found it to be excellent, it is not an expensive place to eat, after the meal there was live entertainment which again was excellent, definitely to be recommended

Once again an excellent meal at the Hermitage Inn. The food is top notch. Their chef is an absolute culinary genius. I had the liver and onions with mashed potato and veg. It's a Jennings pub, so the beer's good as well. You absolutely must visit this place if you visit Northumberland.
