I rarely (more like never) write reviews, but feel the need to help get the word out on this: Haisai is finally open again! And it is as amazing as ever before. Amazing fresh, local and in-season ingredients, many sourced directly from its sister restaurant,...More

This establishment is closed! Perhaps temporarily but I cannot be sure one way or the other. The website, Facebook page and phone number are all still operational and mentioned nothing that the restaurant is closed. The phone is connected to an answering service with a...More

Indeed the food is very good but hardly enough to taste it. I got a fish on risotto measuring 2"x2" and ¼ " thick over a handful of risotto and dribbles of lobster sauce . Since Lobster is not on the menu, hard to know...More

I read one article about the world famous restaurant in Singhampton, Ontario, Eigensinn Farm when I realized dinner there was very expensive. Their website showed a daughter restaurant with very reasonable prices using the same local products from their own farm or from neighboring farms....More

We were driving to Collingwood and stopped in to Haisai, not knowing what the restaurant was about. We consider ourselves fortunate that we were hungry that day!! What a find! We had a fantastic pizza with speck and vegetables, all local and fresh. My wife...More

The BEST place to eat anywhere in Grey Bruce or Collingwood. Super fresh local ingredients, fantastic presentation and very interesting food ideas. A very good value for what is delivered.

Thought we would give it a try. Place is not open much, so hit and miss for actually getting lunch or dinner. Appear to be no regular hours of operation. Over priced, and not really my style of food. Can't say we didn't try.

My husband and I visited Haisai for our 5yr wedding anniversary. We did the 5 course tasting menu and it was so worth it! The service was amazing, each plate was a beautiful piece of art and the complexity of flavours was outstanding. This was...More

We were driving to Collingwood, Ont and were hungry for lunch; We stopped at a quirky looking restaurant and we were glad we did. The food and surroundings were eclectic. We had a pizza, vegetable gyoza, and a local craft beer. It was nice to...More

Walking into this restaurant where all of the interior was lovingly designed by Michael S. and hand made is a real treat in this neck of the woods. The delicious food is lovingly prepared from mostly local ingredients from the farm and much attention goes...More

We were there not last summer but the summer (2013) before and the pizza we had was terrific! It had fresh ingredients and was very tasty. Lucy Lenoir prepared it and she did a terrific job!

I've had quite a few meals at Haisai. Both lunch and dinner. The restaurant/bakery is an extension of Michael Stadtlander's (Eigensinn) farm to table philosophy. The interior is a fine example of Michael's whimsical artistic side with a broken pottery sculptured ceiling and hand made...More

Michael Statlander's son is riding in his father coat tails, and not successfully. This place and the concept is fun. There seems to be a great deal of discipline in how it's managed and marketed, but the food was almost terrible. Three of our party...More
