We enjoyed several meals, yes, it was so good we just had to return and try other options. Friendly helpful staff added to our enjoyment. The choices were varied and the specials only added to our problem - what shall we choose? Please give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

We had the mackerel pate as starters and specials board sea bass - the finest quality with amazing taste. The bar with locals and visitors alike had lots of character.

lovely food. The lamb was so succulent and flavorsome . The service was excellent but a little over attentive. The specials menu had not been updated and this led to an incorrect meal being served to one of our number. Otherwise a lovely place to eat in wonderful surroundings.

Six of us called here for Dinner because it has always had a good reputation which goes back many years. The starters were all of good quality & modern presentation. The ladies all chose a crab pasta linguine for their main course which is where the problems were. Unfortunately when the chef added chilli, corriander & possibly ginger his had... More

I don't give 5 stars very often. The Pheasant got them for just being right about almost everything in a plain matter of fact way, at reasonable prices for the region. During this year's visit to the lakes we all voted it all round the best of the places we ate in. We actually ate in the bar, which was... More

I believe I have reviewed this under the wrong place - the restaurant at the Inn! We actually ate our dinners at the Bistro each of the three evenings we stayed at the Pheasant Inn. There was plenty to choose from and we all had different choices. We were disappointed that the "specials" remained the same for the three nights... More

Surprisingly busy on a Saturday in March but we were found a table and though the service was a little slow the food was good as was the atmosphere.

we enjoyed a lovely meal at the Bistro, nice relaxed atmosphere with a good choice on the menu to keep everyone happy. Was a little pricey for what we had but the food was tasty.

Very busy evening was not a problem for the excellent waiting staff. The service and food was exceptional. Good priced food with a lovely bar for pre dinner drinks.
