Five of us travelled to Fermanagh from Dublin for a funeral. When we realised we were in the wrong town the staff at The Thatch couldn’t have been more helpful! They rushed through our order, conscious of how much time we needed to get to our correct destination. The food was so delicious when it arrived not b even ten minutes later!! The tastiest chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever eaten and my friends agreed, all beautifully presented and the toasted wrap was equally as tasty. All so reasonably priced! I can understand why the place was so busy! I wish ‘The Thatch’ was closer to my home, I’d be their best customer!! They then gave us excellent directions to where we had to go. Such a pity we were in a hurry it would have been so lovely to sit and chat. It was a favourite town and often visited by our dear departed friend. I think Google maps brought us there for a reason!!

What a lovely little place to have breakfast or lunch. It is homely and quaint and the staff is wonderful and attentive. We each had a special; a baked potato with beef stew for one and a prawn platter for the other. And a pot of tea for 2. We weren't disappointed. Perfect portions and very tasty. Highly recommend

Google maps took us here by accident on route to a funeral. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, amazing homemade fresh chicken salad sandwiches and coffee . Excellent service. We were given directions and told how long a journey so we knew how long we had to enjoy our food. Only regret was our dear friend missed out she'd have loved this place. RIP Pauline

Our visit was disappointing, we sat and waited to be seen to whilst two tables in after us ordered & were served. We were sold on the homemade stew special by the young lady & our friends ordered soup & panini's. We waited 50 minutes for anything to arrive - having worked in the food industry for many many years running our own small business it's quite obvious when dishes are not home made. Our coffee order was wrong and when we brought this to the attention of a staff member, she seemed agitated and annoyed.

Called in for coffee and cake. Yes quaint and historical. Ordered 1 latte, 1 hot water, 1 slice of pear and almond cake. The cake had been given the 'nuclear option' in the microwave, which ruined the texture of the cake. Total cost £13.50 which was over-priced for what it was. Also a few flies buzzing around the tables and food. Will not be rushing back.

Find on What 3 Words ///digests.pointed.breads (Near Ballyshannon, Ulster) There are a few steps into the cafe and the door is manual. It’s like you are stepping into someone’s lounge on one side there is a big stone fireplace. The place has a cosy atmosphere. Previous visits I’ve had a toasted sandwich which is served in a bowl with some crisp, I’ve also sampled the cakes. Food is always tasty and the coffee is really smooth. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. Debit cards are accepted. I pop in here at least once week.

A really lovely wee cafe. Luckily we didn’t have to sit in the back room coz there was no atmosphere there. Front room only seems to have tables that fit 4 people so if all 6 of us were there that’s be a problem. Food was tasty and tasted like traditional home cooked food!

Just called in for a cup of coffee but succumbed to the temptation of the delicious brunch breakfast. Straight from the stove, hot, succulent and tasty food presented by welcoming and friendly staff. This is a beautiful and genuinely authentic setting with a very pleasing range of local fare and so well priced. Thank you, Ladies. 🌟

The Thatch is one of my regular weekly stops. The sandwiches and desserts are simply fantastic. Service is excellent and very friendly. Even in these times of Covid the Thatch has taken great measures to safely accommodate diners in the intimate space. The only, and definitely only thing that is a negative is the coffee, and I mean this entirely in the spirit of constructive criticism. It's often sour which can be the result of under-extracting or too much of a course grind. On the milk side of things they often overheat/burn the milk. The sound of repeated plunging of the frothing wand is another indicator of bad coffee making technique and result is large foam bubbles rather than the micro-bubble foam necessary in a perfectly made latte. If they brush up on their coffee making skills (hint: bring in a professional barista to train) then my rating will definitely go up to a five. Overall, we love the Thatch and it's merry crew and will be coming back time and time again!

Popped in here for a light bite on the way through. We had soup and a cake and the soup was lovely, it tasted just like my nans homemade soup. Service was good and the cafe was lovely and authentic. I was also able to breastfeed here (with a blanket covering) with no problems.

Absolutely shocking place to eat, avoid like the plague! Everything too much trouble. Place is filthy and plenty of time to view the filth as kept waiting over 30 minutes for two paninis absolutely ridiculous!! No Irish welcome here so if you see this place keep driving worst place I have ever eaten in my life scandalous!!! Cannot read menu as very dark inside glad I could not see any more than I did!!! Don’t do specials listed on menu in fact do very little. I wiped my feet on way out!! You have been warned!

Excellent food on 2 occasions. Girls were unbelievably pleasant and courteous. Just as we would expect from our favourite county. Perhaps the owners of our next encounter whilst staying overnight at Rushin House could do with some work experience in this excellent coffee shop. With particular emphasis on basic good manners and welcoming manner. I could not recommend this coffee shop highly enough as we stopped over in our motorhome.Thank yout

We arrived with our special needs daughter and her assistance dog, and clearly the manager had an aversion to animals. Told us she had no tables, then a fellow diner offered us hers, as she was leaving. The manager didn’t engage with us as we took our seats, did not make us welcome. We felt extremely uncomfortable . There was no eye contact, no welcome, so we decided to leave and told her our reasons. She was discourteous and rude to us even though our daughter and her dog both wore disability identification. Shocking experience, diabolical treatment. We left saddened that in this day and age disabled people can be treated in such a way.
