My daughter had planned her marriage at another venue, but due to unforeseen circumstances needed to change venues. She changed to Fortnums. With 24 hours notice, Fortnums' staff created an exceptional event for my daughter and her husband, with attention to every detail, including a wonderful afternoon tea with a separate, yet identical, gluten free selection of savoury and sweet... Went out for Lunch with the family after our wedding. Spacious, friendly and good service. Great selection of meals for lunch. Not too filling.

During our recent Australian holiday we were treated to lunch at this beautiful restaurant. It was a lovely bright setting with sun streaming through the many windows. It has a lovely warm feel with the owners,Ron as attentive host and his wife Kirstie in the kitchen preparing the delicious food. I chose the roast beef which came with their own... More

We have walked past Fortnums a number of times and got the impression it was a bit expensive. However on the day we went our normal eatery was closed so my wife and I decided to try Fortnums for lunch - midweek day. Both of us chose the roast beef with veg and gravy. Each of us had a glass... We visited Sassafras today on a perfect summer day. We chose Fortnums as it looked really cool and we were after a Devonshire Tea. Scones were warm and fluffy with real cream and home-made blackberry jam...just like my Grandma used to make...so yummy. The host and hostess were delightful and friendly. I suggest you visit during the week. It is... More

I had the Fisherman's Lunch. It was a very poor effort for a restaurant. All of it was packaged seafood, and the so-called scallop had a flavour that bore no resemblance to sea food let alone a scallop. I would expect this sort of rubbish from a pub, but not a real restaurant that has a good reputation. The others... More

The place looked good, the menu choice looked good for a late lunch, the wait time was minimal. We decided to share a meal - a toss-up between a meat loaf or some pancakes. We opted for the 2nd choice - should have had the meat loaf. Very average, not a good choice.

Trial visited this cafe when there were just 5 tables of people to be served (including ours). There were 3 waitresses on duty. Took 10 minutes for a tasteless tea to arrive. After half an hour, and reminders of the order, still no coffee, so we left. The waitress was wearing a management-supplied apron, which described her as a pig.... More

Vistited Fortnums on a very busy day, although there was a wait on our meals the friendly staff notified us and we were fine with that as we could all see they were doing the best they could. All the meals were very tasty and came out hot. The desserts are a must so make sure you leave room to... More

We visited Fortnums for a family Sunday lunch with 7 people. We have visited before a few yrs ago and loved it however this visit was very disappointing. Firstly we ordered drinks, glasses of moscato, only to be told they've "run out of moscato", so went with our second choice, yellowglen pink piccolo but that too was "also run out"... More
