We eat here every time we come to ski at Taos and occasionally after a hike in the summer time. They offer rides from the base area so it makes it really convenient. We love fondue night, but also the homemade spätzle, brat dogs and the must have Bavarian pretzels. Don't miss this quaint restaurant built in a log cabin!

We at this traditional German/Swiss restaurant twice, skiing past chair four for lunch on a busy President’s day weekend in Taos. While there was a wait to sit on the sunny deck, we were seated right away inside at a big round table with a fun, local family. Great pretzels, brats and the grilled chicken sandwich was just right too.... More

If you are stuck in the hell of Taos Ski Valley, this is a decent stop to spend time with a cold beer and German food while staying out of harms way on the slopes of this horrible ski area. Great looking staff and a nice deck if the sun is out.

Excellent Bavarian ambiance and fare - ski down the slope, soak up the sun and enjoy hearty Bavarian sausages and beer. We stopped her a couple of times for lunch between ski runs. Great service and staff dressed in Bavarian gear.

The Bavarian is a sit-down restaurant located withing a short walking distance of the bottom of Lift #4. It's a nice place to eat if you are in no hurry and don't mind spending a bit more. If you are looking for something quick and cheap, you are better off eating at the neighboring Phoenix Grill. The sun deck is... More

Doesn't get much better than this. Ski in and out, just stack your skis and walk into a classic Bavarian restaurant. Great traditional foods as well as long list of beers and spirits. Great hot chocolate with some spirits is all you need as you sit on the lounge chairs and watch the skiers enjoying themselves on the slopes! Try... More

This on mountain restaurant is great. They have very authentic german dishes/drinks like gluhwein, goulash and bavarian pretzels. The service was great even though it was a very busy lunch!

We have a tradition of eating on the deck of the St. Bernard every year which we did on day one. we wanted to try something different for day two and have wanted to try this place for years. Was a little surprised of the 20+ minute wait time for a table outside but it was a beautiful afternoon and... More

By far the best food, bar, staff and view for a dining experience in TSV. Don't care what the prices are - its worth it. Food is excellent - Bar menu is excellent and the staff is exceptional - and the view absolutely cannot be beat on a bluebird day!

We did the fondue night at the Bavarian and weren't disappointed. A very cool place, unique experience and a great wine list.
