The best sea food, the best service and will definitely recommend it to everyone. This place will do anything a la carte to please you. I order funche with caldo de pescado that is an old recipe and will wake anyone up when you feel down or sick.

Excellent place, service was awesome. It’s a casual rustic place, food was delivered promptly and it was delicious, highly recommended to all, no reservation is required but I encourage it as the place can fill up quickly. 👍

This small hideaway, not far from the Santa Isabel Plaza, is worth visiting. The rice dishes, seafood and meats were equal to my mom's cooking - I just wish the location was a bit larger so the seating wouldn't be tight and limited.

The food was amazing, truly authentic Puertorrican flavors. They really went above and beyond. The prices are great as well. Great wine selection.

We've eaten at Angelo's many times. The food is outstanding - typical PR cuisine! And Angelo and his wife are the nicest people you would ever meet!

Worth the trip and the wait. Difficult to choose from all the great options and all of them great. From fish, beef to stews (guisos) or just plain arroz y habichuelas, this people get it right every time. Great Service - they want to please.

This is an overpriced fonda, I do not know why th good reviews. Our appetizers were good and so was the service, but the main course non of our friends were impressed with their food. Even the rice and beans were not good and the tostones felt that they were from a box. It is a simple place, no air conditions we were lucking that it was not a hot afternoon.

We’ve been going to Angelo’s for years. Angelo’s is a true “Fonda” because nothing exemplifies Puertorrican home cooking more than Angelo’s. You will find classic fritters, arroz con jueyes, arrayao (a small snapper), caribbean lobster, carne guisada etc. Fondas are informal places (no a/c’s, parking, and usually hard to find, family-run places and frequented by mostly locals). Service is attentive but leisurely. Not open on Sundays. Get there early a quarter before noon on a Saturday and you will be rewarded by avoiding crowds. Here’s a secret-you can bring your own wine (and should not be charged for uncorking). One of our favorite Fonda’s in all of PR.

We visit this typical restaurant after read great Tripadvisor reviews.
Ambience is relaxing and invites you to spend a good time there.
Service was great, prices are average.
We ate fish and steak. Both of them were very good.
Could be crowded, so it's possible you have to wait a while when you arrive. Also, there's not A/C in the restaurant, but don't worry, is not necessary, the place have a great ventilation.

La Fonda de Angelo is located in downtown Santa Isabel, South of the Island. My friends and I heard a lot about this criollo restaurant and the fantastic food but never decided to go until last Friday March 9 2018.
It is not what we expected based on the reviews. The food's taste was nothing special.
My friend asked for BBQ pork chops with rice and beans. Myself grill chicken breast with rice and beans. All this Puerto Rican food was chill!!
We are really hungry so dicided to eat it as it: cold.
The cheese custard was good.
The waitresses was very nice and pending of all our needs.

Been looking for this place for a while...worth the hunt. Best food in Santa Isabel. Ate salmon...way better than any other place in the southern side of the island. It is a tipical puertorican "Fonda"...just try it!!!!!
