Was in area and a colleague recommended Carnaval. Simple, local food. Staff was attentive and courteous. We had the stuffed Chicken Breast with ripe plantain, yummy. Did not need sauce. The others had Chicken Churrasco, very interesting, Chicken instead of beef. Also good. The Caesar Salad hadan abundant amount of bacon. Tostones were good. Prices were a bargain.

I visited this restaurant with my family of 4 on a Sunday around 3pm. There were tables available when we arrived and we ordered quickly. After an hour, the place was full. We waited almost 2 hours for the food . When the food finally arrived, everything was as ordered. The ribs, chicken and rice plates were delicious. There were several tables waiting for food. The place is nice, colorful and the service was good. Overall, the food is good but expect long waiting times during weekends.

My wife, her sister and ate here for the first time for an early dinner. The food and service was good but as it got crowded we had to wait awhile for our check. I would go back again.

We were here today unfortunately very disappointed with the place, food and services we arrived around 8:30pm and the appetizer arrived 30 minutes after ordering and to make matters worse the melted cheese just tasted burnt. The food was horrible presentation and cold and the taste was decent. I'm sorry to say that it is a restaurant with a lot of potential but on my part it is my debut and farewell!

The food is terrible. On holidays they have a limited menu. Food without salt without flavor. Many ads showing the dishes anyway it's Sam's reheated food. Don't waste your time.

The place is very festive. Nicely decorated. Was quite full of customers but service was effecient and attentive. Did not have to wait long for the food. The stuffed chicken breast are amazing. Servings are well proportioned. The monitor are great. Will visit again. Highly recommended.

Best rice we've had on our 9 trips to the island and that's saying a lot since we travel the island every time just to find new places to eat. Kids tenders/fries plate was enough to split between our 2 grandkids since we got an appetizer sampler platter to start with. Several of the staff speak English so super bonus points :-)

My husband and I visited this place last week with a Gustazo. The place was really easy to find using the GPS. We were very pleased with the food and service we received. We’re definitely going back.

After a visit to Coamo's Spring Water we stop here for lunch. for my husband and I was our second time at the restaurant. We arrived early so the restaurant wasn't crowd. Food was delicious like the first time. I recommend the chicken breast filled with sweet potatoes. At these time service was bad. The waiters are inattentive.

At Carnaval you can enjoy they stuffed chicken breast...A Must! I totally recommend this plate along with the "Mamposteao" rice.

Went to this restaurant because was in the area doing some business matter. Went with a prospect customer and coworker. The place looks nice and the service was friendly and good.
Prices were reasonable and food good. We had the "pechuga rellena de amarillos", cheese and potato soup, rice mamposteado, Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. All was good quality and cook perfectly with good taste.
Clean restaurant and good variety of food, appetizers and drinks. During nights and weekends they have live music and activities. The only negative was the waiting time of the food. Too long, I recommend the restaurant but be aware of the time, can not be in a hurry!!!!!

Visit today april 1, 2016 for lunch with my wife.
Pros:
Big place with outdoor terrace and ample parking. Just a couple of minutes from 52 st. Highway. Fair prices and big portions. I have a rice plate that have beef skirt and chicken mixed into it and it was so much that could not finish it and I'm a big guy. My wife order a grouper filet with fried plaintains and rice and beans; also big portion and good taste.
Cons:
We have to wait almost an hour for the main course to arrive mainly because at the best of my knowledge there were only 2 waiters and a big group arrive a couple of min. after us and of course the waiters got bussy with them. Caribbean cuisine tends to be a little high on condiments but I think they can turn down a little the salt and the flavor would not suffer a bit.
In conclusion worth the price, I gonna return..

Found this place by chance on the main road near our hotel. The food was great, prices and drinks affordable. Customer service was good and it's a family oriented resturant with an entertaining environment. There was a guy playing live music, which made me want to dance (but I didn't)! We stayed for 2 drinks and i noticed there was security in the parking lot at night. I would definately return if I was visiting PR again.
