We got a flat tyre outside this pub and Larry the landlord was an absolute GEM. He was absolutely fine about the RAC van using the car park to help sort out the tyre, gave us a free drink each and was so attentive with regards to whether we were ok. He told us a bit of history about the... More

Nice place..second visit...both times enjoyable...food was very nice and good portions size..staff were pleasant attentive but not overbearing..only criticism may be that the temperature was on the cold side. We will be visiting again.

Greeted with a smile by a very nice young girl behind the bar, offered to sit in the restaurant or the bar area, shown to our table and in the restaurant...plenty of room. Drinks and food ordered, I had the ham and eggs with chips and my wife had sausage and mash, very nice and the price was very reasonable... More

Stopped off for a rest from driving home after a trip to North Wales. Although a short stay this was a thoroughly enjoyable break. The place was buzzing with a family party in the function room. We sat in the lounge listening to the music. The bar felt homely and had plenty of interest to enjoy and pass the time.... More

This must be one of the most welcoming and pleasant pubs I've visited in a long while. Lots of smiles and laughter There is a genuine sense of friendliness. You could spend the whole evening there with just a drink if you want But the food is good as well

As I regularly ride and drive into North Wales, I always pass this Pub on the way out and on the return leg of my journey. I have never stopped here before until my Wife, Dog and I were returning from a mid week break in wales. We had stopped in an establishment that was not so dog friendly and... More

Nice atmosphere, very good and prompt service from the ladies working their. However the food is very much frozen to plate! We chose to have the Roast Beef and Pork dinners. Roast potatoes = frozen Vegetables (carrots especially) = frozen Yorkshire puddings = frozen Stuffing balls = frozen The meat all looked and tasted like it hadn't been cooked in... More

Visited for an early evening meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and chatting with our little girls. I had salmon and chips and my friend had a vegetable lasagne with chips. Both the meals were delicious. We also had icecream sundaes which were nice but nothing special the girls enjoyed them though! Overall very good... More

Will not be visiting again! Made us feel very unwelcome just because we refused to sit in a small smelly back room to eat our lunch.

we have been here many many times and the food and staff are fabulous. the owner however is a different matter. we have never been spoken to like that before and I won't be spoken to like that again. they must have lost loads of money since we stopped going in.
