Wow! John created the most amazing tskeaway sandwiches for our family picnic today. Everyone was amazed at how much filling there was. They were all so, so tasty. We also had a selection of cakes (rock cakes, brownies and Victoria sponge) - again amazing. All really fresh and delicious. Shared sone of what we as left over with a friend who bakes semi professionally and she thought the rock cakes were fantastic! Talking hands really is a hidden gem in Hassocks. Really is worth the visit.

I love this cafe. Not only do they have an amazing selection of cakes, savoury foods, teas and coffees. They also have incredible vegan brownies! The staff are always so lovely. They do so much for the deaf community and offer fantastic communication mornings and nights as well as sign courses! Who says you can’t do it all? They do!

Its really nice to go into a cafe where the staff speaks/signs in same language as me!! Its a lovely cafe set away from the hubbub of Hassocks and offers not only yummy breakie and wide choice of herbal teas, but also a great space, particularly downstairs, as i occasionally use it for my work, meet with deaf friends or to join in some organised deaf event. Am so lucky I live in the same village!

Had toast and lovely latte here recently en route to the station. Extremely friendly staff, would recommend. Only would suggest a healthy option is offered - like Greek yoghurt with berries or porridge maybe? Loved the atmosphere and would definitely return.

This is a great cafe by the station in Hassocks. They do a brilliant full English breakfast, really good quality and delicious toast and butter on the side. The staff are very friendly and you always get a warm and friendly welcome.

When you enter the Cafe the first thing you notice is the new, clean stylish look. Second is the warm, friendly welcome. Finally the amazing homemade cakes, brownies, huge selection of teas and that lovely aroma of fresh coffee. The sociable husband and wife owners, John and Caroline are a great team. John will cook you a tasty breakfast or lunch. However there is so much more to this Cafe, on several afternoons or evenings Caroline organises events. These range from young children’s activities, a youth club to Curry nights, quiz nights and other events for adults. They also have an alcohol license. Both owners are Deaf but they can communicate fully with hearing customers. Because of this Caroline is very committed in bring the Deaf Community & Hearing Community together. She organises British Sign Language course and groups where children can be introduced to Signing. I would 100% recommend this Cafe and popular community venue.
