Probably die to the small - Valentine only - menu, the chefs clould lay their hearts into full class cooking. lovely coquilles (why only one?) and a fresh aftermath. Fortunately not such a heavy chocolate bomb that makes you reeling over, but delightful yoghurt and lemon based desert. Really great wine: Ciccio Zaccagnini 2014 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo del Tralcetto. Try it!!!

This restaurant offers good menu options and great wines to direction of fine dining. The set up in the old windmill is super unique. Try this if you look a romantic evening or a good fine dining experience. Game options have never disappointed us.

Food was ok, nothing outstanding, specially considering the prices. I had a ravioli (3 - THREE - pieces to be exact and it was very average. Dessert was beautiful but taste was just ok. Service is also average, I would expect more for such a nice place. The restaurant itself is nice, location is cool (by a windmill). But it's... More

I was with colleagues at dinner. The building is one of the few windmills. With many original interior and exterior. Authentic Dutch atmosphere. Strictly recommend it.

We had an anniversary dinner with our son and daughter-in-law in the enclosed outside area. It was a five course chef's choice and was excellent. They had arranged a special anniversary cake.

Happened to be there during a business trip. Enjoyed a high quality gourmet dinner, with excellent service and great Dutch atmosphere. An old mill transformed into a restaurant in a very neat Amsterdam suburb, a must!

June 5th we had a special celebration and our first choice restaurant was closed so we decided to go to De Jonge Dikkert as friends had recently recommended the food. To start with, the food was indeed very good, though even with a 4 course dinner we needed extra bread to feel sufficiently fed. Service on the contrary was not... More

Staying nearby for a work trip I found this place via TripAdvisor as somewhere nearby with decent reviews and a Windmill. Not a lot of restaurants can match that. Walked in completely under dressed in T-shirt and trainers without a reservation but was met with an enthusiastic welcome and treated like any other (well dressed, well-to-do customer. Its a posh... As I live close to this beautiful restaurant, I've been to this restaurant regularly. As i really liked the atmosphere and quality of the food, I booked this restaurant for a business meeting. What a disappointment it was. First of all, not all food was properly cooked, leaving me with a semi-raw langoustine. Second of all, one of the waiters... More

I visited with a business group. Great location, good staff and really nice food. Many options to personalised/bespoke menu. Great wines too ;-)
