It was so bad that I don't want to waste my time writing a lengthy review but the main points include: youthful staff who are rude/loud and need some managerial direction. Food was ok...we ordered 3 of the same starters and 1 was half the size of the other 2. No music = no atmosphere. The other customers were friendlier... More

The Trout at Tadpole Bridge used to be one of our favourites in the area. However, our dinner for 5 people last Friday was very disappointing. The menu was extremely limited, with few attractive options. Three diners choose braised OX cheek, which came with mash and carrots. The meat was dry and salty. We asked for some jus/gravy and when... More

Friday night and a family dinner, the place was cold , it took over an hour for the fire to be lit , the manager too busy in a meeting as the customers sat in the cold. We waited 30 minutes for drinks. The couple on next table had their mains arrive before their starters. Food was very average ...... More

Went for a meal to celebrate my dad and my birthdays. Sadly we were all left disappointed and dont think we will be going back. Menu was limited. I had the ham hock Terrine which was nice, parents had haddock Scottish egg which did not taste of fish. Mains had fish and chips and steak and chips. Steak was cooked... More

We visited for Sunday lunch just before Valentine's Day and were booked to sit in the heated marquee. We were a little sceptical about it but needn't have worried as it was just like being in a conservatory on a warm day! The staff were friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being full and there was no rush to get... More

Popped in while looking around the area. The pub is in a lovely position on the Thames walk. We sat outside which I can see would be fantastic in summer. The prices are on the high side but would be expected in this area. Didn't eat but looked nice options on the menu.

A very warm welcome to us with our muddy dog, after a lovely walk along the Thames Path. A tasty and interesting light lunch accompanied by a glass of chilled wine and choice of beers for my husband. We'll come back in the summer to enjoy the garden and views of the River Thames. Thank you.

18 of us booked dinner here from the Christmas menu - we paid a 'package' price for the food, 1/2 bottle of house wine per person and teas/coffees and it was not far off £50 per person. Many of us had eaten here before and were looking forward to the meal. At the end of the meal and the service... More

We were staying at the Trout inn for the evening taking advantage of their amazing Sunday offer - spend £60 on food and alcohol and get one of their lovely rooms and breakfast for a bargain £40! So we ended up having 3 meals here over 24 hours. There is a great wine list and helpful bartenders available! For dinner... More

Description
Come and enjoy a taste of the Cotswolds with us With the river Thames on our doorstep, naturally our menus are brimming with fresh fish dishes plucked straight from the river and nearby chalkstreams - from trout rarebit or our fish of the day to crayfish from our very own river pots. But we're still a true country inn as much about forests and fields as rivers and streams, so you'll always find plenty of hearty classics, steaks and more creative plates of local game to tuck into - washed down nicely with a pint of real ale or a bottle from our carefully chosen wine list.
