The menu at Caldo de Piedra is extremely limited. One can get a variety of fresh aguas - we had pina (pineapple). The menu consists of quesadillas that are made with wonderful, large fresh corn tortillas - we had the flora de calabezas (squash blossoms)....More

I don’t know what was the best thing about this place- the women grinding the corn in a molcajete and making tortillas in the wood furnace or the amazing seafood soup served boiling in a jícara (sort of coconut shell) with a stone inside to...More

Soo cool! Simple and tasty soup. The rock is so hot before they place it in the gourd with fresh seafood, onion, chilies, tomato and water. The rock when placed in the bowl boils the water and cooks the soup.

This is something you must see and try. Make sure to take your camera and a good appetite. Ask for extra lemon, salsa and you can't forget the tortillas. Great service !!!

To start with, the soup is delicious and enough of a reason to visit. The cooking method is very different. Staff invite guests to watch the soup being made, to take photographs and videos. The staff are courteous and friendly creating a lovely atmosphere.

I was very excite to visit this place and to taste a millenary dish of my Mexico; you have to come and taste the true pre-hispanic Caldo de Piedra - fish and shrimp soup
