We went to the Servants Quarters for lunch on Mother's Day. The place was extremely busy however the staff went out of their way to show us to our table (which we had pre-booked), take our orders and get our meals to us surprisingly quickly. The food was really nice and very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble. The... More

Thankyou for your lovely comments following Mothers Day. Yes we were extremely busy (and our kitchen is no bigger than a shoebox!) so we are glad you enjoyed your experience with us. My husband loves looking after our customers out the front so I will pass on your comments to him. Cheers Niki More

Went to lunch at Servants Quarters Tea rooms yesterday. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. As it was before 11.30 3 in our party had the breakfast meal of bacon and egg roll. It had plenty of bacon, which made it tasty. I would recommend this place highly for a meal. We got to see a... More

This place really needs to learn how to make coffee. Watery and very unpleasant. The scones were like bricks not fresh. Would not recommend or return.

nikijcurry, Owner at The Servants Quarters Tea Rooms, responded to this review

I think you must have the wrong cafe Krissy B as our scones are made by hand and baked fresh every morning and our coffee is one of the best (if not "the best") according to all of our customers in Morpeth. Our barista is praised every single day for the quality of her coffees and our scones receive the... More

We were greeted by the owner who gave good old fashioned service without pretence. The rest of his staff were also just as friendly, The quiche was freshly made and delicious. Excellent coffee. Although we did not get to try it, the menu stated "whipped cream using real cream". We have been to some upmarket establishments who use spray cans.

Thankyou Ross for taking the time to give us a nice review. My husband absolutely loves attending to our customers (and friendly water dragons too!) and he was chuffed to read your review. Hope you can sample our scones and "real" cream next time. More

We had lunch there & was pleasantly surprised by the surrounding...lizards wandering around. Though not a friend of lizards, they did not bother us. The food was good. We tried their scones which were fluffy and soft, served with their own made mayo. Their special for the day, the pulled pork was very good too. Will definitely go again.

We found this place late on a Sunday afternoon when looking for somewhere to have some afternoon tea. Staff were extremely friendly, service was great and quick, was extremely happy that they had some gluten free options available and our desserts/scones were delicious. Will definitely be back here again.

We stumbled on this great tea rooms whilst browsing through an antique shop on the main road, it was in a group of shops outside the back door. Although the decor could do with some work, it was pleasant. There were two choices to sit at, inside in the air conditioning or outside undercover in a plant filled courtyard, the... More

I was recommended this place by one of the shop keepers in the main street. It was a warm day and while there is a nice leafy courtyard, I managed to snag one of the few tables inside in the air conditioning. The staff were friendly and service quick. I ordered a home-style corned beef on sourdough sandwich with cheese... More
