Had empanadas here for lunch based on the good reviews and the fact the place was extremely busy. We had 2 empanadas, once of which was the wrong order. Both empanadas were extremely greasy, cooked in oil which was obviously too cold. Drink came after the food, about 20 mins after ordering them. Would not eat here again, would rather... More

We found this friendly place for lunch. Owner speaks English so no problem. Empanadas seem to be the specialty of the house. We tried shrimp and cheese. They very large. We had water too and it was bottled on the island with Moia picture so it could make good souvenir too. Nice view of the ocean and road along the... More

Empanadas here are large, served hot and very good. However, we found the best on the island to be the shrimp and cheese empanadas at Anakena beach -- last stand on the left.

No services if busy and order in Spanish only (even they have an English menu). Go Thursday late afternoon, no customers and the service and pastry were good. Seafood pastry almost the dinner plate big costs CPL 35,000 (about USD $7). Like everyone take charge 10% for tips for dinning in. Not recommended for takeout as they only warp the... More

Known as Tia Berta's, this is one of two place to try empenadas while in Rapa Nui. The other has baked, whereas this place serves fried empenadas. Select from a variety: cheese, chicken, meat, fish, etc. They cost 2,500 Pesos each, and one is big enough for a lunch (it is not served with a side). A pineapple juice was... More

We went a couple of times and had empanadas. Our guide told us that she is the queen of empanadas. In our short experience in Chile and Isla de Pasqua this seems to be true. Standard price of CLP 3000 each with a can of coke at CLP 1500.

This place serves massive tasty empanadas and fresh juices. Try carne y queso. Very good value for money: 2500 per piece. Good lunch place.

My guide recommended this place and I was not disappointed. I went back few times during my stay in Rapa Nui and recommended to fellow travellers! Atun y queso (tuna and cheese) is the best! (for me anyway) They have yummy fresh juice too. Great food at the great price. I am sure their empanadas are one of the best... More

Had lunch here before going to the airport. It was recommended as having great empanadas by our guide from Explora. The tuna and cheese empanada was excellent. They were very helpful in calling us a cab to get us to the airport.
