Another excellent ceviche in Hanga Roa! My husband loves ceviche and enjoyed his dish at Hatu U. I am not a ceviche lover and had the stuffed chicken that was excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive with most of the patio tables occupied. The Escudo beer and pisco sours were great. There was also a resident chicken and... More

Ate here three times, as this place seems to always be open! We found the service to be attentive and friendly. We ate mainly fish (although my partner did have chicken one day) which was fresh and tasty. I had the ceviche on one occasion and highly recommend it. The mixed vegetables were also surprisingly good (fresh)

The service. My wife is allergic to fish and seafood which caused problems given that the menus on Easter Island are dominated by these (not surprising 2000 miles from the nearest land) but they provided an excellent meal for her the first time we ate here and again when we went back. Good atmosphere also.

Visited this unpretentious restaurant on the advice of hotel receptionist. Local fish fried in a light batter was solid, meaty, tasty stuff. The barbeque sauce with which it came was surprisingly apt for the dish. Fried sweet potato slices were crisp without being dry and sauteed vegetables were varied and plentiful. This was simple but imaginative food helpfully and quite... More

We ate here twice and were delighted with the meal each time. Great fish but also the best steak ever and pretty good value.

We stay on Easter Island for a week and had the opportunity to try many restaurants. In our week's worth of sampling, my SO and I both concluded that this was by far our worst meal. The fish was very overdone to the point where it was tough. The appetizers were pieces of fried bread dough - not my idea... More

Enjoyed a very good dinner with my wife at Hatu U. I had the ceviche which was very fresh and plentiful in size. I was very hungry and still couldn't finish while my wife had fish and seafood. Again, her portion was large but she also had to pay for her side order of rice. It cost us $45 for... More

It seems to be one of the best (we tried some other that were suggested by the hotel staff) there - fresh, tasty, service is good. Sea food soup was extremely nice and Pisco sour - fabulous!

I feel bad saying this restaurant served my friend and I just an average meal, but it had been hyped up by some fellow hotel guests so we went in with higher expectations. The restaurant is located on the main strip of shops and eateries in Hanga Roa with a pleasant wrap around covered porch along with indoor seating. It... More
