We hadn't decided where to eat in Corbridge on a Friday evening, and The Angel appealed the most on this occasion even though the bar was noisy with chatter. The seating area outside the pub was full, and while many tables in the bar area...More

Our group enjoyed good food and wine at The Angel Inn in June. Would happily recommend it for others to try.

Called in with friends for a drink - 2 pints of beer and a lime and tonic cost over £15 - when I asked, the beers were £6 a pint. We didn't stay for a second - went down to the Dyvels and had a...More

Dear Amjjfj. I am sorry to see that you believe that we are "Ridiculously" expensive when calling in for a drink. If I'm correct I believe that you never ordered our Wylam Nomi Sorachi, voted in the top ten of single hop beers and at...More

High quality food that ramps up the definition of pub food. We had the specials, a lamb liver plate and hake with a red pepper sauce. Both were excellent. Very good wine list and wonderful desserts. Wish I lived closer, but this was a special...More

Thank you for your lovely review, I think a good meal is well deserved after walking Hadrian's Wall, and hope you enjoyed the beautiful Northumberland scenery as well. We hope to see you back in the North East very soon :)

At first confused... the restaurant/bar is in 2 parts. When we booked the table and arrived we placed in the restaurant and ONLY when we questioned did we realise that the bar (not as plush) had the same menu but also a much better deal...More

Real fires, comfortable leather seats, traditional warm rooms, afternoon tea, great local food, local ales and exceptional Northumbrian charm. The Angel Inn has been a coaching inn dating back to 1752 when it was called The Kings Head. Many people have owned it until we purchased it in 2011 and we intend to keep it and we will ensure that your time with us is relaxing and fulfilling.
