This place never lets you down! A really brilliant lunch. Generous and varied amuse bouche, additional course and petit fours, all added to a magnificent meal. We had the menu du Jour, with matching wines. Spectacular deer tortellini, followed by one of the best duck mains I've had. Lovely wines, with excellent service from sommelier & all other staff. Best... More

We visited this great restaurant again yesterday for lunch. Six of us at a lovely table beautifully set and presented. Chris the manager welcomed us and soon his staff were busy attending our table. As always the service was smooth, quiet, and very fast without any of us feeling rushed in any way. The lunch menu was perfect with great... More

We opted for the 8 course tasting menu. Service was fantastic, and all of the dishes were gorgeous. Yes it’s expensive, but it really was worth it. I loved the foie gras. Unfortunately it’s not something I could do regularly, but definitely for the next big special occasion.

I'm never sure whether to bother writing a review for a restaurant that, by and large, tends to get very positive feedback, when all I'm going to do is agree with the masses. However, this meal deserves a mention because it reached the standards I have experienced in other Michelin star restaurants. When you choose to undertake a tasting menu... More

The first thing to arrive at our table was an amuse bouche in a shot glass containing liquid black pudding, beetroot puree and poached quail egg. It was as challenging and weird as it sounds but it was delicious. Everything that came to our table was excellent. I'm not fan of chocolate desserts but the dark chocolate tart was spectacular.... This was my second best meal of 2016 (the first being Mont Bar in Barcelona). We went there a year before and the staff recognised us (which is impressive) but the food was wonderful. The truffle risotto is perhaps the single best dish I have had all year. It is a friendly and relaxed restaurant in our favourite hotel that... More

Had a memorable lunch at Martin Wisharts. We have been before, both for lunch and dinner and the food just gets better. From the gorgeous olive bread, to the delicious beetroot meringue amuse bouche, followed by two pre starters - a delicate crab tartlet and a spicy veloute with a crispy mussel, it was an absolute treat for the palate.... Whilst the setting is fine and the service and food good this is certainly over hyped. You'll enjoy it but it is stuffy and I've had much much better food of this type - Joel Robuchon in London, even Horto in Harrogate knocks spots off it. A pleasant rather than great meal

From the start the staff at Wishart were outstanding, truly very good at their job. The food was very good though i have to say the amount of flavours in some of the dishes was too much. Portions were fairly small and some of the ingredients were not to my taste. However thats me and as an experience with things... More

Edinburghs esteemed chef, Martin Wishart, has added a touch of Michelin-starred luxury to the already impressive Cameron House a stylish hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond. Head Chef Stewart Boyles worked with Martin in the kitchen at Restaurant Martin Wishart, so its no surprise that the food here is similarly flawless. The menu features elegant French dishes like roast John Dory forestire with truffle jus; Jerusalem artichoke velout with langoustines; and a lighter-than-air passion fruit souffl. The restaurant itself is light and airy with striped chairs, comfortable banquettes and shades of taupe and plum creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive service, unpretentious atmosphere and thoughtfully chosen wine list complete this unforgettable dining experience.
