This place never lets you down! A really brilliant lunch. Generous and varied amuse bouche, additional course and petit fours, all added to a magnificent meal. We opted for the 8 course tasting menu. Service was fantastic, and all of the dishes were gorgeous. Yes it’s expensive, but it really was worth it. I loved the foie gras. Unfortunately it’s not something I could do regularly, but definitely for the next big special occasion.

My wife and i had the tasting menu each course was even better than the last it really was a faultless meal with outstanding relaxed service the restaurant is stunning with very comfortable chairs, this experience was well worth every penny spent. We will book again shortly!

The first thing to arrive at our table was an amuse bouche in a shot glass containing liquid black pudding, beetroot puree and poached quail egg. This was my second best meal of 2016 (the first being Mont Bar in Barcelona). We went there a year before and the staff recognised us (which is impressive) but the food was wonderful. Had a memorable lunch at Martin Wisharts. We have been before, both for lunch and dinner and the food just gets better. From the gorgeous olive bread, to the delicious beetroot meringue amuse bouche, followed by two pre starters - a delicate crab tartlet and a spicy veloute with a crispy mussel, it was an absolute treat for the palate.... Whilst the setting is fine and the service and food good this is certainly over hyped. You'll enjoy it but it is stuffy and I've had much much better food of this type - Joel Robuchon in London, even Horto in Harrogate knocks spots off it. A pleasant rather than great meal

From the start the staff at Wishart were outstanding, truly very good at their job. The food was very good though i have to say the amount of flavours in some of the dishes was too much.
