The pride of the people who run this place in their region, culture and cuisine is evident. Home cooked French country cooking, with a Moroccan accent if you want. The standout for me was the soupe de poission, often a throwaway cliché in these parts but a fresh and different take here. The pintade and agneau were also excellent. Mint... More

The patron is utterly passionate about his restaurant, which has on one side of a tiny road, an outdoor area, and on the other is the semi underground vaulted area. We ate twice in both areas, and had a delightful dinner on both occasions. The patron sent us with the recipe we ate, developed by his grandmother. As a thank... More

My husband treated me to a meal here for my birthday - what a treat! Some of the best service we have ever had in this type of restaurant. Water was filled, more bread was available and without us having to ask. The small dish of olives and wonderful cheese and olive bread served with the aperatif was lovely. The... More

The tagine and the crème caramel were the standouts in a lovely meal. Friendly service, wish we were around longer so we could return

We had noticed this restaurant but, because it is not possible to easily see inside, we'd been reluctant to give it a go until, on our last night we discovered that both of the restaurants in our own village were closed! So glad we went. Once you are inside it is a lovely atmosphere. The waiter is very friendly and... More

Very polite and helpful staff and although the menu was all in French, the waiter kindly went through the menu in English for us when he realised we were struggling. Food was superb, portions not too big and served piping hot. Everything obviously all homemade and not bought in. A little pricey but well worth it!

Our host recommended this place and she was right. The food is absolutely amazing and the portions are huge! The service is great too, I was struggling trying to translate the menu to my bf in English when the waiter kindly offered to help and recommend dishes. If you get the couscous be aware: it's delicious but you probably won't... More

Nicely located under the walls of Aramon castle, little restaurant with nice staff and a lovely terrace... Menu ok, diversified and tasty but some dishes are better than others. Foie gras is a must but the fish brochette is a little poor. Bill ok but not cheap, perfect for couples

This fairly small restaurant came as a complete surprise. We were looking for a place to eat before going to a theatre play in a quarry outside Avignon (Boulbon), and stumbled over this surprising place, in the charmingly rehabilitated heart of this small village situated at15 car minutes from Avignon. Sous les Oliviers is a quaint charming restaurant and boutique... More
