It can be hot in Saint-Gilles, so eating inside is actually a good idea. What a beautiful cool space and lovely welcome - we hadn't reserved a table - and yet, no problem, we're still made to feel special. The menu changes everyday here apparently,...the chef is from Nîmes and the philosophy seems to be keep it simple but use the best and freshest ingredients. All very good - dishes come piping hot out of the kitchen and I can really recommend the Entrecôte Race Aubrac with its sauce au vin. For wine we ordered the red Nîmois ni toi, Château Guiot - a Syra-Grenache blend. Light and easy unlike some of the harsher Langedoc wines you find. Service was the same. Easy, friendly - fast!More
Took us a while to locate but it was worth it. The staff are delightful, the food wonderful. Caesar salad was elevated from home style ordinariness with a soft egg, chicken with proper flavour and good dressing. Pork came cooked just right with colourful vegetables....All delicious.More
6 of us were on a boating holiday starting at st Gilles last week. This restaurant was recommended by a local & we were thrilled we took his advice. It’s a new husband & wife spot and the food & service great.
This is a new restaurant and everything was crisp and cool
Fantastic service with a great knowledge of the local wines and we conversed well with our limited French and their limited English The food was divine and the presentation superb
Highly recommend this as...a friendly low key with high class establishmentMore
