We ended up there a bit by chance. The terrasse was fully booked but staff managed to get us a table. Food was surprisingly good for the price we paid and the restaurant is well maintained. Staff was maybe a bit overwhelmed by the strong...attendance but not an issue since we were on holiday. Would definitely return if ever in the region.More

Totally disappointed by this place. Got a reservation, the waiter couldn‘t find our table and ignored us for the most part of the evening. We ordered the „Menu Traditionelle“ and waited more than 1hour between starter and main course , although we called the waiter—...this is outrageous! We spent a total of 3 hours involuntarily in this restraunt for a 3 course menu. In the end, we never heard a sorry, they only offered us a 4.50€ priced tab water. Very disappointing. Even more so, because the quality of the food was nice.More

In an otherwise uninspiring town, Le Cours was a surprising find. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was good. The portions are large and the quality is good. A solid brasserie-style meal.

Delicious fish and good service and a good atmosphere overall. Only four stars as dessert wasn’t anything too special. I had the bar/ sea bream but saw that the sole or bass looked equally tasty

Although the main roads in St-Gilles were all being remade at the same time, this restaurant was a little oasis of calm. The staff were agreeable in the classic French style, assisting us to choose a wine and allowing us time to finish our aperitifs...before tasting. The food was classic and robust - côte de bœuf and taureau à la gardiane - cooked to perfection and nicely presented. We chose desserts and the waitress, who happened to be English, suggested a half bottle of wine to go with it. A lovely way to enjoy a hot summer evening under plane trees beside a wreck of a roadMore

We have eaten here many many times & returned again this year for 3 lunchtime visits. Sadly the lovely pain trees have gone & the road is in upheaval but still the food & service continues to be really great. Menu de jour is excellent...value & the food seasonal & local. Always very imaginative with delicious flavour combinations.Thank you to Jeremy & Stephanie & all the team. We will return in August!More

Really not sure about our experience here. From the get go the waiter was abrupt, not very welcoming and bordering on sarcastic. When asking for a wine choice he had this condescending tone about him and talked about our “budget”. This was again repeated when...it came to asking if we wanted the cheese platter - a whole 8 Euros. It just isn’t done to keep asking you dinners about this budget and truly marred the experience. The food was good, the restaurant seemingly attracting every pensioner in town and was going for an up market feel. At the end of the meal we were served by another person, this time a lovely and warm seemingly English lady, she deserves praise for making the end of our experience much better!More

We ate here on a Saturday night after collecting our boat at St Giles - Le Boat. It came up online as having gluten free options. We had not had a great meal the night before in Lyon and really enjoyed this meal. Good portion...sizes and lovely food, although we were not so keen on the white wine (Sancerre) which we usually really like. The staff were very good and they even had gluten free bread for me. Very good value and lovely foodMore

It is a hotel restaurant so there are some compromises they have made in terms of the menu - prrhaps it is a bi too international... But service is very good, they sprak good English and behave nicely. Food quality is just fine, a bit...above the average and I just missed some more French flavour. Good garden outside on the street that is not too busy. Overall - good place.More
