1. Look at my TripAdvisor review history. I am well travelled and have reviewed many, many hotels & restaurants in France (and other countries). 2. I have stayed here before...and loved it....but NOT this time Previously we stayed just one night in the middle of a hot summer. This time we travelled to France specifically to stay here for 3... An absolute to restaurant in the Centre region. Deliciously prepared local meals in the French Style. Service is impeccable. The two dining rooms and exterior garden (best place to eat weather permitting) are perfectly sized for the meal crowd - not too big andnot too small. A wonderful restaurant to have a reasonably priced dinner or lunch.

We have had warmer welcomes but the hotel is attractive. We had a comfortable room where everything worked. The garden is super and we were able to eat outside. Our waitress was totally charmless but the menu looked good, all three courses had to be ordered at the beginning of the meal. The food was very average and in particular... More

We were greeted with a lady who seemed surprised we had turned up to a restaurant hoping for a meal. She asked what nationality we were and then told us 'no food, fully booked'. The place was clearly empty. Charming after a 500 mile drive to get there.

This restaurant was within walking distance of our B&B. The hostess of our B&B recommended it. It was very good, so good that we returned several days later for dinner. The second time was even better. The second time they were serving in the outdoor patio, and it was lovely. All of the dishes that my husband and I had... More

After visiting the nearby troglodyte mushroom caves we came across this restaurant for lunch. We were welcomed warmly and seated at our table quickly even though we hadn't reserved. Our waitress promptly arrived to take our drink order and explained the menu options to us. To sum this place up: very nice food at reasonable prices. Friendly but not over... More

I stopped by for lunch. It is a bit pricy, but we'll worth the charge. Recommended if you have the time to savor your meal.

Could walk it easily from our B&B loges de Saint Eloi. I was wanting some soup and the French dont seem to have it after winter or it is cold soup. Chef made me a wonderful wild mushroom soup cooked to order. Rest of the meal was very good as well. Would return

We stayed one night and decided to stay for dinner. What a wonderful evening we had. The food was beautiful and the service was excellent. We finished our evening with a stroll around the interesting township of which the locals are clearly proud.

Auberge de L'Ecole is a lovely gastronomic restaurant near Loire Valley. I stayed there one night with my children when I came back from my holidays in the Pyrenees. The owners are professional and very friendly. Food and wines are of high quality at fair price. If you regard the "Vieille France" style of hotels in the French countryside as... More
