Great food and highly education when it comes to the wine. However, the owners wife is abrasive, impolite and slightly abrupt to say the least. Will be hard to return.More

Sadly, after a really lovely day which everyone seemed to really enjoy, the day was marred by one member of the group trying to split the bill into 16 individual breakdowns. After standing at the till for over an hour and refusing to be budged...More

We visited Abingdon Wine Estate last month and had a wonderful few hours enjoying the wine tasting and the delicious meal that followed. The owners are hands on people and Ian was most knowledgeable in explaining the various wines which were amazing. We then settled...More

Abingdon is in a lovely part of the midlands and the estate is quite beautiful, with its outside seating area in the garden and fireplace inside. We went for the wine tasting and were somewhat disappointed. It was chaotic! The wine was barely explained to...More

Quaint small restaurant with warm cosy atmosphere. Fire place. Very homely, Only better as you are served and cooked for. Very delicious food, beautifully presented. Take home wine is expensive but worth every glass.

We did not eat here but sat for more than an hour chatting to our host and wine maker. I can only take my hat off for this couple who started a wine farm against all odds! To be honest, not Western Cape quality but...More
