A very professional restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. It made me feel comfortable and safe. Solid food that takes no risks and should please everyone. The staples of the traditional Galician cuisine. Would go back for a family reunion or business meetings.

I have been quite afew times to El Refugio. Although they are famous for their roastbeef, I would not try if coming from the UK. Instead, i would let Alfredo recommend me and for sure you will be happy as long as you are able or ready to pay some 50/60€ per head. The wine list is extensive and there you can find most of the best wines in Spain. Seafood is also very good, but pricewise, be careful... Indeed, El Refugio is a good place to choose. Alfredo holds there a quite unique paintings collection, Parking (15 cars or so) available.

All perfect. The octopus, the squid, the steak tartare never disappoints, the seafood gutters so good that the portion is small, and nothing to object to the meat. The desserts are excellent and very well presented. The decoration, a little old-fashioned, but has something unique, the distribution of the tables offers a lot of privacy and space. The waiters, attentive and friendly, especially the one who advised us which wine to choose. A little expensive, but the quality of the raw materials makes it much more suitable than other more affordable places. It's not something to go every week, but it's worth visiting.

We ate 7 people, 5 adults and 2 children. Nothing to object about the quality of the dishes, decent quality, high prices and unspecified VAT, with the final surprise that this entails. We know that it is not legal, but it is not this fact that provokes the review. My son, 7 years old, ordered seafood lasagna, very delicious, yes, but he got a burn on his chin, because no one warned him that the dish was on fire. In places with more affordable prices, and a less formal image, we would have always been warned about this detail. I should have complained in person, although I know that the waiter knew what had happened, when he asked for ice for the child, but I did not complain, because it was the next day when the burn that caused him was seen. Take this review as constructive criticism, the purpose of which is to take care of that detail, and situations like this can be avoided in the future. I attach a photo of the burn.

€700 splash without warning. He robbed at gunpoint and in very bad ways. It is clear that they focus on the tourist, one-day customer and making cash

We asked for things to snack on, we trusted ourselves and they gave us five portions of each thing for a group of 18 but the salpicón at €60 per portion does not serve 12 portions without having asked for them. We ended up paying €80 per person for a snack dinner, no explanation.

In the letter he sets some prices, to which the invoice finally increases 10% VAT. That's not legal. VAT They cannot increase the bill by applying an additional 10% to the price of the menu simply by adding VAT. According to national legislation, the warning "VAT not included" is not permitted, even if it appears on the menu. The prices communicated in the letter or price list must already include VAT. VAT in restaurants is considered an indirect tax, since it is not applied directly to the taxpayer, but is included in the sale price of the service. This means that, when we go to a bar or restaurant, we will pay the tax along with the price of the service. Law 44/2006 indicates that the menu of restaurants and other hospitality establishments must include the full price of what they offer. That is, your letter must show the final price of the product, with VAT already included. Otherwise, food and service generally very good.

Distressing, as soon as we entered the waiter took us to the table without saying a word to us, very dry at all times, it was cold in the dining room, we ate with our jackets on. The food was very expensive, the salpicón was little and very cold, tasteless, the rest was very normal. I would tell the waiters to be nicer to customers otherwise they will lose a lot of customers. We will not return.

Good service and good products. We had clams, scallops and sea bass, a total ten. For dessert, some frozen truffles. all washed down with a good godello.

The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The service was unfortunate, to begin with they didn't serve us until after a while and they didn't bring us drinks. In the case of wine, we ordered one, which turned out to be out of stock. They brought us whatever they wanted, which was worth 19 euros and then what a pleasant surprise when they wanted to charge us whatever they thought for the wine. Furthermore, the waiter who was guilty of this, far from apologizing and changing it, argued with us and told us that nothing was happening. It also seemed to them that the three of us were going to eat everything and they brought us plates to share served for everyone directly on each plate, logically we told them not to bring them like that, because we were not going to eat everything, and again the The waiter discussed it with us and said that's how they did it there and that we should put up with it. When it was time to bring the dishes, the waiters would arrive, put your plate in front of you and leave without saying a word. Apart from all this, the food is regrettable. Everything was tasteless and the worst was unexplained. We ordered the famous lubrigant splash and it turns out that it is a Russian salad and not a splash. This is not reflected in any section of the menu nor was it explained by the waiter and I don't like mayonnaise. Of course, all the dishes are very expensive for their quality and quantity. In conclusion, a place that has a lot of name and a Repsol sun that, given what we've seen, they give away, you eat better at the burger king

Very good service and careful product. The salpicon is highly recommended. The sea bass was very good on a bed of potatoes, but I don't recommend the turbot, or at least, I wasn't lucky with the piece we got. The friendliness and service stood out for his experience. I looked for it on trip and we were right.
