Stopped here for lunch with my partner last week and was appalled to be served grilled chicken which was completely raw in the middle. Naturally I sent the dish back as soon as I realised (unfortunately I had already eaten some!) There wasn’t a single...apology from neither the waitress nor the manager. Had terrible food poisoning the following day, and still suffering from stomach cramps a week later... Avoid!More

After a full day of walking around Albarracin, we relaxed at our hotel and then went here for a delicious dinner. Everything we ate was good! Menus was not in English but we figured out what we wanted and enjoyed all that we were served....And it's easy to find and really nice to come out to the street and area all lit up late at night! A bonus for those staying overnight there.More

Went there with friends for two dinners. Great food selection, but hard to get English menus. Then, difficult to figure out what they mean. Aperizer salad (greens) is great, if you could ask for the dressing on the side (a LOT of olive oil). Nice...grilled veggie platter. The cheese platter is for 4. Overall, worth the money (not pricey).More

On March 1, 2017 a good friend and I went to Albarracin for a tour of the village and to have lunch. It was mid week and a slow time of the year. Most of the restaurants in the hillside village were closed and only...open on the weekend. So, places we had picked were unavailable. This was a lucky break as we ended up going to El Rosso for one of the most delicious afternoon dinners. We live 4 1/2 months in Valencia so we are used to wonderful restaurants but this cozy, small and quiet place delivered a 3 course meal to "roll your eyes over." However, you had better make a reservation or you will never get in.......we were lucky and thrilled !!More

We stayed in Albarracin at an AirBnB right next to this restaurant so right at the beginning of our trip we tried it out for lunch one day. We know a limited amount of Spanish but the employees there worked hard so that we were...both understood, saying things multiple different ways until we could pick up enough of the words to be sure. The first time we went they had 3 dishes displayed, one of them the cierro estofado (deer stew). I chose this dish and LOVED it! After that we ate there nearly every single day of our 3 week trip. I definitely recommend checking out this restaurantMore

I had the luck to get into this little restaurant during my first day in Albarracin and came back there 3 more times. There's a lot of choice and everything I tried was outstanding. I definitely will go back for their migas and sheep meat....It's a great place to go for breakfast too for their home made torrijas and big tostadas.More

We have just stayed two nights in Albarracin and unusually for us, we ate at this restaurant on both nights. You cannot book a table and so because the dining area is small, arrive 8.30ish to be sure to get a table. There were lots...of disappointed customers arriving 9.30ish- normally a good time to arrive for evening meal in Spain The restaurant is just a short stroll out of the village on the road to teruel and if you need to, there is plentiful parking opposite It is a lovely, traditional family run restaurant with gorgeous home cooking. The Menu at 15 Euros was wonderful. Fantastic home cooking, nothing run of the mill. The portions are extremely generous. The venison and beef were excellent main meal choices. Salads were excellent and the plate of Entremeses was really enough for two people. It contained so many different types of meat and cheese of the region Unfortunately, the wine included in the menu is only red but is excellent. Desserts are all home made and the white chocolate cake was heavenly There are quite a few restaurants up in the old part of the village but this restaurant is so easy to reach and provides wonderful ambience, food and serviceMore

We were lucky to cadge a table at the Tasca Tipica El Roso on a Saturday night. The food is hearty and fresh, regional and traditional Spanish. I loved a starter on the three course menu that was a grilled vegetable plate with excellent olive...oil. The menu stated that the vegetables were 'from the owner's garden' and they certainly tasted that way. Great. The house wine was served by the pitcher and the grilled meats were very good as well. The atmosphere is cozy and we appreciated the warmth and helpfulness of the young server. This appears to be a family business and they are definitely focused on simple food done right, fresh, and generously served. Just what we were looking for. The location on the main road through the village below the hill is great-- no need to hike up into the village for dinner. Would definitely go back again.More
