Having been to see the necropolis in Sutri, we walked into the historical city. This restaurant was located in the square. The food was very nice and the staff were very polite and friendly
We enjoyed aperitif in the piazza at another little bar at 6.30pm before eating at Trattoria La Sfera d'Oro We shared a pasta with rabbit sauce for entree and an excellent Guinnea Fowl was very good whilst my main of saltimbocca (pan fried slices of veal with prosciutto and sage) was okay but not great. We didn't know of any good restaurants in Sutri, so we took a look on the net and after reading excellent reviews booked for the following day. The place is quite big and the staff that day were agreeable and quite efficient. But my husband and his son both fell for the very enticing 10 euro platter of fettuccine and... More

Local products. Fair price. The bads: not all dishes are made with the same amount of love and product choice. The owner served us,... More

Sutri is a true surprise itself, even more this cosy traditional osteria. Food is delicious and homey with fresh excellent ingredients and all the longing and satisfaction of great food. The atmosphere is from a godfather movie, same as the customers, all of them locals on a Saturday night that we dined there. We had a great time and a... More
We had Sunday lunch here after a visit to the Etruscan remains and the wonderful Roman amphitheatre on the via Cassia just outside the gates of Sutri. The amphitheatre alone is well worth stopping for - carved out of the tufo in a beautiful elliptic shape. We walked up into the main square of the town to find la Sfera... More
