Popped to the bell last week as they had a curry night, so glad we went as the curries were delicious and full of flavour, the sweet potato and spinach samosas were to die for, great value for money, can't wait till the next curry night. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Staying with a friend in the Lifehouse Spa nearby. Had enjoyed the Bistro in the Bell Inn before and as a change to the Spa Restaurant (It's good there also!) we walked to the Bell. We had a bottle of house white..a couple of Prosecco glasses and two main courses, all for £89. Staff are excellent and the ambience brilliant..well..the... More

We eat at this pub on our birthdays each year with friends and have always been made to feel very welcome. My husband is in a wheelchair and the main bar area is fine for him. The food was extremely good and as we were unable to get in the restaurant we were offered to eat off the restaurant menu... More

Spent Saturday evening at The Bell for a pre-xmas catch up with friends. Food was excellent, wine reasonable price and great service. Couldn't fault anything.

Booked a table for 6 people & reserved 6 roast dinners as they normally sell out by late afternoon. This is a lovely old fashioned pub, that is grade 1 listed, & dates back to the sixteenth century. All the staff are very friendly helpful & nothing is too much trouble. Good Quality food & desserts all home made &... More

We hit this pub en mass with a table for ten needed having based our decision to go in the first place on the recommendation of my son who is a regular (for drinks only). We booked a table for ten totally unaware there were two sides available for food. A more formal restaurant and a more casual side where... More

Can't help feeling that this pub is missing something. I emailed in advance to ask if dogs were allowed in the bar. The answer was yes but there was no mention that the kitchen was closed on Monday and Tuesday. I didn't ask that specific question but nothing in the pub's website or the email response told me that if... More

Description
Welcome to The Bell at Thorpe.
We are a traditional village pub steeped in history that dates back to the 16th century with stunning timber beams throughout. We offer quality real ales that change on a regular basis as well as a great selection of fine wines both by the bottle and glass.
We also boast a beautiful secluded sun terrace that backs onto the local church giving you peace and tranquility.
Our bar menu offers a great selection of pub classics and baguettes served Tuesday through to Sunday when we also have our fabulous roasts! In addition we also have our restaurant The Olive Branch Bistro if you are looking for something a little more formal or for that special occasion.
Join us to relax, maybe play one of our board games or just spend time with family and friends.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
