We loved Birdland. There are only 2 different dinner choices- a medium or large fixed priced meal. We went with the large and were glad we did! The room is small with a u-shaped counter. Everything we has was delicious. It was a 5 star yakitori experience.

I was really hoping to like this restaurant after seeing it featured on Andrew Zimmern's Delicious Destinations show on Tokyo. The decor is modern, clean and spacious for Tokyo, and the service at the counter was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't like most of the chicken selections I ordered ala carte which were quite pricey, probably at least twice as much... More

We had reservation at 5pm and they open from 5pm onward. We arrived here early at about 4.40pm and nobody was in the Q. We were the first to enter and seated near the sake fridge, at a corner. We ordered 2 sets of Omakase menu which cost 6300yen per pax and also added 2 cheese sticks and drinks. In... More

So let's start off with the fact that I have a life threatening allergy to shellfish. Japan is a problem for me (food wise). I found this restaurant in a guidebook and since they only serve chicken it sounded like just what I needed! It was a little difficult to find, but some lovely young ladies I found walking along... My wife had been mentioning Birdland for a number of years. Not satisfied with local yakitoriya, and seeing reservations were not as hard to get as we thought, we gave it a try. My wife and daughter would probably be more critical but this assessment is my own. We ordered a la carte rather than one of the courses. This... More

I have to admit that my expectations were quite high, given that I already had a lot of super tasty yakitori here in Tokyo before. I went there in the hope to get a new benchmark for this Japanese delicacy. Thus, I ordered the larger of the two available Omakase Menues to taste the full variety of food they offer.... More

We really enjoyed the food here. Very deserving of the Michelin Star in our opinion. As compared to other yakitori places this is a little higher end food, atmosphere and service. It was really amazing how much variation they could get in flavor out of the different parts of the chicken. My favorites were the really crispy skin and the... More

Make a reservation as this is not a place to just turn up and hope for the best. We secured a reservation using Open Table for Thursday and had some challenges finding the entrance. Given the entrance is down a set of stairs that appears to be heading into the Subway, it's no wonder Google maps was confused. It is... More

I have NEVER seen or been to a restaurant like this one - the chefs separate the different parts of the chicken and make into different dishes. The chicken was cooked to PERFECTION - every bite was so tender and so juicy! It's something one should never miss!

We wanted to make reservations online but that didn't allow last min ones so we got our hotel to call for us. I don't think a reservation was necessary thou. Two of us girls shared a glass of premium malt (so smooth and easy to drink!) and 7 ala carte dishes and the bill came up to SGD80+. Definitely on... More
