I heard SO much about this place from my family in California. We were really looking forward to this experience. However when we went they said no to customizing anything. We us dietary restrictions and were disappointed that nothing could be accommodated. Also we found this out after waiting for 25minutes. The servers were not very nice. Not what we... More

The food is consistent as with the other outlets around the world. The dumplings were very good. Service was awesome. One in our group was a vegetarian, and they went out of their way to create something to eat other than only having the cucumber entrée. Well done guys.

Delicious food but communication was hell. Neither the queue manager nor the waitresses could speak any English. We had to resort to pointing and guessing. Still the food was satisfactory.

Delicate and flavorful, DTF xiao long bao never fails to please. We ordered pork, shrimp and cod roe. Service was quick, so even though the lines are long, you'll soon get your fill. Their beef noodles are also good, and siumai as well.

Located in the basement of the famous Takashimaya department store. Always crowded, so expect a wait. Instead of standing in line, you sit in line in the chairs outside the restaurant. Very good food.

For those accustomed to eating in flagship branches of Din Tai Fung in Taipei, Beijing and Shanghai, with their buzzing atmosphere and open kitchens, the Tokyo branches are something of a surprise. They are situated, like this Nihonbashi branch, in the basement food malls of venerable department stores, and feel intimate and sedate. The menu has been adapted for the... More

One level below the Food Hall of the famous Takashimaya Department Store are a few restaurants which offer surprisingly good value for money as not only the queue outside suggest but also two occasions of lunch revealed. Din Tai Fung is a popular chain specialised in Dumplings. I can recommend them. They have an english menu, you can ask for... More
