Yakitori and Kamameshi at its finest. This place may be hard to find but well worth the search. Torigin is located in a small alley near the original and much smaller restaurant. Both are good but the one that is located down some stairs is bigger and is better if you have kids. My kids loved the place and the... More

A little hard hard to find in a hidden alley. Really excellent yakitori and kamameshi. If you go early it is not smokey at all!

Specialty: Salt based grilled chicken, yakitori and Kamameshi. Very hard to find. located in a small alley. Not recommended to bring kids because it's a smoking restaurant. One of cheap restaurant in Ginza. They have english menu but you need Japanese menu w/ picture.

What do you expect from a yakitori shop? Smoke, counters, crammed shop? In that sense it's a disappointment!!! Torigin is one of the oldest and most well know and reputed yakitori restaurants in Tokyo. For it's location and quality you may almost call it cheap. They are also famous for their 'kamameshi' steamed rice pot in several flavors. They don't... More

Traveling from Yokohama to Tokyo with Friends by JR Train, stop at Yurakicho station, walk about 200m to small path inside Ginza. As we arrived about 10 people sat on "outdoor seating"(not really outdoor), but we were 13. Resto staff asking about how many were our group, and after waiting for 20 minutes, we sat with 2 groups separated. Comunication... More

If you are looking for a romantic restaurant to take your partner Torigin in Ginza would not be the choice. However, if you are a fan of yakitori, this is a great place to be. The kamameshi (I personally like the gomoku kamameshi-- rice dish) is brilliant and suggest you order this early as this takes time to prepare. When... More

We were looking for a simple dinner on the night of our arrival in Tokyo and found this little place, just a few blocks from our hotel. They specialize in various kinds of charcoal grilled chicken and in rice pots. We had a variety of skewered meats and they were all delicious, particularly the chicken wings. The rice pot was... Actually between 3.5 and 4 stars/dots. Right next to the New Torigin but we prefer this one, bigger and a little better, in our opinion .
