We had the 9-course Omakase menu (the tasting menu), which was priced at Y8200 and was worth every yen. The food, involving many traditional Japanese ingredients and ways of cooking, was exceptional. Every course was cooked to perfection and served beautifully. The only things that set this apart from a Michelin-starred restaurant is the relatively limited wine list (including Sake),... More

The restaurant is a little difficult to find, but it's worth it when you see it. A detached house with the dining on the first story and a basement as the bar. Restaurant serves modern Jap cuisine using seasonal produce.

My Japanese friend took me to this restaurant last night. I was impressed by modern chic style of this restaurant and staff also very nice. Matcha Panna Cotta created the best experience in real touch of Japanese Green Tea. Overall better than my expectation.

Honestly, I think this place deserves a Michelin star. We splurged for the chef's taster menu (8,200 yen), which was worth every penny (or, um, yen) for the incredible quality of the food and supremely professional service. When you do the conversion, it's only £50 which is a truly unbelievable deal for what we got. I think it was 8... More

From start to finish--the green tea pannacotta--the meal was sublime. Attention to detail was constant. The salad items and spices were as if picked an hour earlier from a garden. Tranquil and at a good price point for Tokyo.

I don't really share the rave reviews. I thought it was rather forgettable and that it was somewhat pretentious. One reviewer described the staff as discrete, I would say rather disinterested. I ate there last night and can barely remember what I ate. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but it also wasn't great and Tokyo has so much... More

Even before you walk into this modern Japanese restaurant, you know it's going to be good as the exterior is designed beautifully. We were seated around the bar/ kitchen by the English speaking maitre de. Sophisticated and up market atmosphere. Instead of the tasting course, we ordered a la carte. The service was first rate, the food was excellent -... More

A welcoming walk up the steps from a small road off the main thorough fare in Meguro brought me to a small illuminated koi pond. The restaurant itself was busy by the time we arrived at 8pm. The reception was warm and soon we were at the counter seats. A very visual treat unfolded before us. The chefs were efficient... More

Everything was fabulous! The food, the aesthetics, the wine, the service - and the price :) If you're looking for a really good dining experience without having to pay Michelin-prices. Then this is the place. Recommend the 9 course taste menu, Chef's recommendation. And let the sommelier treat you with the right sake to go with the different flavours -... More

This is a fine local establishment serving up-market dining in the backstreets of Naka-Meguro - hard to find but well worth the search. The seasonal menu covers a range of Japanese foods including tempura, sushi and wagyu beef in a range of set menus. The dining room is chic and minimalistic, hidden up a set of stairs in a distressed... More
