We have picked up this restaurant randomly just looking inside and being confident while seeing that customers were Japanese and looked like enjoying their lunch ... Actually it was a good educated guess. Excellent noodles, lots of diverse and delicious stuff around. An interesting place in a non-tourist area.

This is a very tastsy noodle shop which came from Osaka and Kyoto area whose taste is very different from Tokyo's taste and many people think superior to Tokyo's one. I recommend you to take Udon Suki (Noodle pot with sea food, vegetables, chicken and other many Japanese local products ) You can have very good dinner or lunch with... More

Most visitors to Japan are familiar with ramen, the Chinese-noodle-as-adapted-for-Japanese-taste fast food mainstay. Slightly more obscure is udon, the flour based, thicker white noodle indigenous to Japan. And, an even more refined version of udon is "udon-suki", essentially a hot pot of udon noodles, chicken, vegetables, tofu, and whatever other regional or house specialties are available. Mimiu is a famous... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
