Read somewhere that ivy place is a pretty good place to have brunch/lunch at Daikanyama so I decided to come here to try it out. They were full for brunch but luckily could slot us in for a 1pm lunch and we took it. So we chill at T-site bookstore and have a cuppa from Starbucks before our lunch slot.... More

Awesome cozy calm resturant in a very pretty upsacle neighbourhood away from the overdose electric screens and shoping streets. Pizza is made with love. It comes with pork as default (across variants) so make sure to opt out if desired. Soup is lovely and dont waste time with salads because other dishes are orgasmiz and atmoshphere is beautiful. Music could... More

We were staying in an Air Bnb in Shibuya not far from Ivy Place. We actually went here 3 out of 6 mornings that we were staying in Shibuya. It is nice to have a little bit of routine, even if you are on vacation. The staff and Ivy Place are her hospitable and take good care of you. The... More

We were visiting Tokyo. This place was lovely. The atmosphere was awesome. There was a quant bookstore next door. You had a choice of inside or outside. It was chilly the day we were there. We still chose outside for the ambience. They provide you with blankets for warmth. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Great location behind one of the nicest Tsutaya bookshops in Tokyo. It's great for weekend breakfast or lunch with good pancakes and other brunch items. Dinner is casual and cool with pastas and pizzas as well as other entrees. It's a little more about the scene than the food, but I've had many enjoyable meals here.

This eatery/pub is in back of Tsutaya Bookstore in Daikanyama. It is popular and trendy, a young crowd. The pancakes are good, the coffee par for the course. A bit pricey, a cup of blended coffee here will set you back 600 yen.

Visited the 'Ivy place' on Valentine's day. Called to make a reservation at a bit of an, er, later stage but they were very accommodating. The area is very nice and the restaurant had a very vibrant feel to it. The staff were very friendly and of a good number, so service was top notch. Had salmon for main course... More

Last May 2016 while travelling from California to Japan in order for my dog to have open heart surgery, this restaurant was recommended to me as a dog-friendly restaurant. I arrived when they opened and even though barely anyone was at the restaurant, they made me feel really unwanted and as if I were less of a patron just because... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
