One of the better Japanese cafe serving Japanese seasonal fruits together with their ice cream. Recommended

Tried white strawberries for the very first time in my life. They looked pretty, contrasting nicely with the red strawberries, but they were a little sour compared to the latter (I simply love the red Japanese strawberries; they are always sweet and juicy!). The strawberry ice cream was refreshing too. Unfortunately the experience was somewhat marred by the spotting of... More

This place has a great Buffet, that offers all the goodies they serve! They have food (including pizza, salad bar, a few dishes, and omelets made to order), they have amazingly fresh fruit bar, ice cream, deserts, and free drinks with your meal (juice, tea and coffee). Everything I ate was very fresh, and very delicious. I am vegetarian, so... More

The takano was in shinjuku subway station. The cakes were very beautiful and taste so good. Each cake is perfectly made. We bought several fruit cakes to the hotel and they were carefully packaged with little ice on each box to preserve the freshness. We came back again the next day to purchase more cakes 😋

This recent trip to the Takano Fruit Parlour at Shinjuku Honten must be my sixth visit (at least). Everytime i make plans to go fills me with good anticipation for the amazing treats i will indulge in when I'm there. Takano uses only the freshest fruits in their delectable desserts and never dissappoints. Though it may be pricey for some,... More

A place to enjoy fancy fruity desserts. The Takano fruit stand dates back to the 1800's, but this place bears no resemblance to the ancient fruit stand. The fruit was very fresh, but everything seemed overpriced. Appropriate for a special occasion.

This is my mom's favorite place in Tokyo. We have to visited Takano Fruits Parlour on top of Gucci Shinjuku every time we are in Tokyo. Always serving fresh and highest quality fruit parfait that changes every season. Down-side is that always a long waiting line and average waiting time is 30 min. We have the longest waiting line here... More

Since I can't eat anything with eggs or dairy, the one thing they had for dessert was the Fruits anmitsu. It has a variety of fresh fruits and cooked azuki beans and vegan gelatin.I went there several times just for that. But we warned. The lines can be extremely long esp. Fridays, and weekends and probably holidays. It is located... More

Great fresh fruits and you'll feel like your in heaven when fly "high" and visit the place. It is usually better to go during brunch time, with silent and gets a better view seat.

Quite popular for cakes with many fruits! You'll be surprised at the freshness of fruits used for cakes. They use only high quality fruits! A little bit expensive, but you 'll love them

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
