Eating an Indian meal was a lovely change from the mostly unfamiliar, to me at least, Japanese cuisine. I chose a combination menu of butter chicken, Chicken tandori and vegetable curry. The garlic nan was out of this world and I enjoyed the flavor of the basmati rice. The butter chicken was way to sweet. It's a pleasant restaurant with... More

I visited the restaurant with my two daughters while staying in Shinjuku. I lived in Tokyo area almost 30 years ago and used to visit the restaurant regularly. I was pleasantly surprised it was still there - new owners (of course) but same good food and good value. Two of us had the vegetarian set and one the chicken set... More

Had chicken curry, was not very spicy, was good in taste, Nan was soft and tasty. Apart from this, Milk Tea is delicious which comes in a small pot. You order one and its more than sufficient for two! Lovely tinge of spices in the Tea.

Take the South Exit from Shinjuku Station for this restaurant. Food is individually prepared and tasty at this long established Indian restaurant. The curries are varied (mutton, chicken, vegetarian, and seafood); combo dinners priced around 1700 yen come with either chicken tikka or a samosa; the chicken tikka is spicy and tender. Nan is made on site and is perfect... More

A good vareity of vegetrian and non vegetrian food. We asked to moderate the spiciness of the dishes and that's the exact spiciness level we were looking for. The staff was kind and helpful. We highly recommend the butter nan.

This is a nice restaurant good and authentic taste and flavours. Would highly recommend the Veg Thali here(Obiviously me being a vegetarian, would recommend veg only). The quantity is good, Chole(Chic peas curry) is awesome. However, things have changed as compared to my last visit, smoking is now allowed inside the hotel, though they have classified few rows as Smoking/non... More

Good if you urgently need an Indian food fix. The Naan bread was a bit too sweet and too soft unlike the ones I have had normally. Rice did not seem to be basmati, but of the same texture as sushi rice. Dishes were ok.

We had good dinner at this restuarant. Pricing is average by Tokyo standards. Food is good. Service is also good. I will recommend this restaurant to eat good Indian food.

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
