I can't understand previous comments. The place is pretty smooth, eating at the count is funny. The food is good but nothing amazing, it don't worth the price at all, 6500¥ for two for 20 sticks (finally only vegetables and fish nuggets

Excellent place to stay: very good food, perfect service (they did the best to try to understand our poor english) and authentic japanese atmosphere ... at the 8th floor of the building !!

Kushikatsu is fried food (veggies, fish, shrimp, beef) on a stick. You will like it. :) The batter is light and you can dip in a few sauces. At dinner, there's an all you can eat for 5000 yen or sets for 3000-5000 yen. The same building has 2 locations: 3rd floor is non-smoking and 8th floor is smoking.

My buddy took me here without knowing much about the place and we walked away very satisfied and happy. It's fixed price (I think) and you eat what they serve you, 'til you can't eat anymore. They fried everything from beef to fish to shrimps to taro to potatoes, to honestly, food I've probably never had before. One definitely needs... More

This is our second visit to Kushinobo and we can't rave about it enough. Sit at the counter for a fun experience and enjoy this unique food right in the heart of Ginza.

We were in the small no-smoking counter area (smoking section is on a different floor), in Isetan Kaikan, near Shinjuku Sanchome station. We started with the crudités, slim onions and sauce dips, and then skewers of beef, prawn, yama-imo, crab, mushroom, asparagus, beef offal, king prawn, were amongst the 10-stick menu, which is where we stopped apart from a final... If you don't like raw food, there are still options in Japan and kushiage should be top of your list! Various foods, breaded, deep fried on a stick. It's as good as sounds.. perhaps better because you choose between several sauces or salts to dip the food into. Generally served from a bar-like setting, the chef behind the bar keeps... More

This restaurant specializes in a wide variety of meat, vegetable, and seafood deep fried skewers. It is located on the third floor in the Isetan complex. Seating in the small restaurant is around the bar where one can watch the meal preparation. We were given a welcome drink of plum wine and raw vegetable sticks to begin our meal while... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
