This was probably one of the most expensive place we have eaten during our whole 9 day trip in Tokyo area. It was my Daughter Birthday and our last day in Tokyo. So i thought we should have a superb dinner with a lasting impression of Japan. We did not go wrong with this Restaurant, the staff was so helpful... More

How can you go wrong with the finest, thin sliced marbled beef and a wealth of vegetables and herbs that create the finishing stock used to cooked your final bowl of noodles? At this place, it is impossible to find fault with the presentation, the quality of the ingredients, and the impeccable service.

No cheap but the quality of the food and the extraordinary service makes the price a good deal for you. Staff is super friendly and willing to teach you how to get the most out of your shabu-shabu. Portions are right and the atmosphere is great

Firstly, please don't come here if you're not brave enough to try authentic Japanese cuisine, you'll just have a bad time. Also, most of their offerings are set menus that start at about 80$, so come prepared (they do take cards). However, if you're looking for an authentic experience with food that matches the price tag, you'll be in heaven.... More

Ate here on my last visit to Tokyo and it was so good, I had to go back on my most recent trip. It was just as excellent as my first meal. It's not cheap, but it's worth it to splurge on a nice shabu-shabu dinner. The kimono-clad waitstaff speak English and will guide you through the process and help... More

I visited this restaurant for lunch. The food is really good. We had shabu-shabu style meat. It was delicious. The decoration and ambiance is also very authentic and beautiful. I really recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighbourhood.

Japan has a lot to offer in terms of food and we definitely wanted to try sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. After our visit Sondhi-ji temple, we went lunch for this restaurant. Food was amazing, service was impeccable and presentation helped us to understand the rituals. Their sukiyaki bowls was fulfilling but shabu-shabu was a ritual similar to Swiss fondue but with... Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
