In my opinion this is the best ramen i've ever had! It has lot of branches in Tokyo. This ueno one is kinda crowded because located near ueno park, zoo, and museum. The place itself is kinda unique, and perfect for people who love to...More

Ichiran is simply the best. The ramen noodles are perfectly made, the seasoning is perfect and they let you customize your preferences (see photo). As other reviewers have noted, it's a unique experience of ordering from a machine, sitting in a private individual booth and...More

After a long day at Ueno Park checking out museums my BF and I decided to get some ramen. I actually used my Yelp app to find this place! This was actually the first time I used a ramen vending machine in Japan! At first...More

The line up outside the restaurant is a good indication that the food must be good, cheap, or both. In the case of the Ichiran (a chain of restaurants), it’s both. I would call it a fast food restaurant with a twist. Once inside, you...More

The restaurant is particularly famous around Ueno station, and is crowded every day. There are many foreign tourists' use, there are menus other Japanese(English and Chinese). Although there are several table seats in this restaurant, most of the seats are counters, and are...More

If you once like to experience how Japanese people like to eat, go there! It's impressive! First you have to queue up, because it's so popular. Then you choose you dinner and you buy your dinner tickets using a machine. After that you get seated...More

Ate there 2 times, because the ramen is just giving you the right taste (not too heavy/mild & perfect portion). You can customise the noodle, the soup thickness, the spicy level, and other extra topping you wanted to add. Make it your way and the...More

We were adviced by a Japanese waiter in a bar to go to Ichiran for their delicious ramen. And we were really amazed by their way of cooking and how customized can the ramen be ! You can choose firmness of pasta, spiciness, oil, onions,...More

This ramen has offered plenty of choices to customize your own favorite taste of ramen. My mum loves it so much. Highly recommended.

The queue was Long as to all other outlets. We waited 45mins to get into the shop, the ramen is okay but not great. Price is expensive as compared to the other ramen shop as well.

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
