Dropped in for a business lunch with a colleague. English speaking staff. Great steak done exactly as we asked. The service was immediate and attentive. No surprises. A nice touch was that the waiter waited for us to cut the steak to make sure that we were happy. The only complaint was that we had wait a long time for... More

No real prizes here you get the same TGI experience as anywhere else in the world, the shame perhaps is they seem to have imported the service too. Food was OK - restaurant in that same decor and style as anywhere else and the slightly disinterested level of service - we had real trouble getting our order placed, getting extra... More

As a 50 year old male, I made my first visit to a TGI Friday's establishment whilst visiting Tokyo. I wish I hadn't! Not surprisingly it was busy as it was a Friday night - so wasn't surprised when I was told my table would be about 10 minutes, so I sat at the bar and waited with a drink.... More

TGI is one of these chains that you will find all over the world. There is seldomly any surprices when you go here. This restaurant was nice, tidy, good service and the food was what you would expect.

I'm sure most of you know what this chain restaurant is, so I won't get into any of that. Don't expect many surprises here with the menu or the look of the place. You will find English menus and staff that speaks English. You will also find larger portions of food here compared to most Japanese places, but portions are... More

If you're going to TGI Friday's, you pretty much know what you're in for food-wise. If you're looking for American-style food in Tokyo, this place won't disappoint. The food is good, and the staff are friendly here. I have been to every TGI in Tokyo, and find myself returning here to the Ueno location because they are fast, and respect... More

I visit this restaurant after put my stuff at the hotel. Then I walk to this place. This place is a nice place to hang out with our friends. But, I only go there with my cousin's. TGI Fridays in Ueno is on the 2nd floor in the Nagafuji building -- A familiar name for Westerners -- a place to get Fridays hambugers, etc. I had the chicken Quesada which was a good chaser with my beer(s). This Fridays is right across the Keisei Ueno station.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
