We found this on Google maps as a stop for lunch or dinner after a day at the plages d'embarqument. Made dinner reservations the day before. Charming setting on the old harbor, worth getting there early and walking around for a while to see the...harbor, older buildings, etc. The restaurant on a Friday night was very busy, and a few delays in getting wine etc but the staff was flying to do their best. The food was excellent, I had bulots for entrée and "pain de poisson", which was kind of a fish terrine. my wife had the dorade. All the food was excellent and my wife said "make sure you say that the dorade was outstanding". It is definitely worth a side trip to this excellent restaurant.More

We visited this restaurant twice on our recent trip to Grandcamp Maisy and both lunches were excellent. The first time we visited was in a large family group and we had a variety of dishes off the set menu. There was a fish and a...meat choice, the food was excellent quality and good value for money. On our return we had the fruits de Mer, which as the restaurant is directly on the port, was very fresh and again good value for money.More

We ordered from the 20 euro set lunch menu. The main course, ling fish with risotto and bisque sauce was possibly some of the best fish we’ve ever had. The service was excellent. Highly recommended.

This is the 7th time that we have eaten here since 1998. The quality of the food and service has always been exceptional and today was a perfect dining experience. I hope to return again.

The restaurant is on the port, is spacious and has good natural light. We visited at lunch time and both had a plateau of fruits de mer. It was a generous serving of very good shell fish that was well presented. There was good variety...including a whole crab, oysters, langoustine and bulots as well as the more regular inclusions. The service was good and the price reasonable. The service was good and friendly.More

We were a group of 10 looking forward to a relaxing dining experience after a long day's cycling. We were led to our table but no one asked us if we would like a drink. No menus appeared either. After watching other diners coming in...and being served we felt ignored and after 20 minutes complained. Shortly afterwards someone took our drinks order and another waiter threw a pile of menus at the end of our table. At this point we nearly walked out but the prospect of finding somewhere else for 10 diners led us to stay. The food when it finally arrived was very good. Such a shame that such terrible service spoilt what should have been a lovely evening.More

Terrible rude staff and bad tasting seafood served with no passion. We were fooled by some good reviews. All of us were sick afterwards, not excactly the Normandy holiday experience we were hoping for. Avoid at all costs.

We were very excited to visit this restaurant and we even struggled to get the last table, which was outside. But, we were disappointed. The service was so slow that it was hard to even get excited about dinner. If we had known, we would...have gone and had pizza. The food for the kids was dull and while my fish wasn't "bad" it wasn't anything special. I would only recommend going here if you don't mind spending a couple of hours and you aren't starving. It was one of my least favorite meals while visiting France.More

This is the seventh time am coming to this restaurant and have never been disappointed. Everything is cooked with heart and you can feel it with the taste, the presentation and all what is around (sauce, decorations). And they have improved the bread which is...much better. And don’t forget to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the madeleine. Everything is homemade. Just one remark: usually the service is fast, but yesterday it seems there was a problem of staff and we stayed more than 2 hours.More

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent lunch here yesterday. This makes the 6th time in nearly 30 years that I have experienced the good cooking found in this restaurant. I had the St. Pierre - John Dory while my wife had the Dorade -...Sea Bream. Both dishes were seasoned in such a manner as to bring out the flavor of the dish without being noticeable. My wife said that this was the best fish dinner that she had ever eaten! Highly recommended. I look forward to our next visit.More

Our friends had been eating here before and liked the place, so perhaps we were just unlucky to come on a bad day - or the standard has come down lately. Unorganised taking of orders, food over cooked and served on chipped plates, that is...not ok no matter what type of restaurant you visit. It took ages for the dishes to be cleaned out and no one even bothered to ask us if we wanted coffee or tea. Yes, the restaurant was busy, bu it was quite a lot of staff working, some of who were busy sorting out forks and spoons instead of cleaning tables. Not good enough even in a place where most customers are tourists that are there once and will not be returning customers.More

I ate lunch here twice during my stay in the area. I had first dined at this restaurant 25 years ago during a father-son trip to Normandy and had fond memories of the visit. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. Nice view...of the port from my table. I plan to return next June with my wife.More

We had lunch here twice while renting a house in a nearby village. Both times the food and the service was excellent. The first lunch was on Sunday, and the place was packed! Be sure to make a reservation so you won't be disappointed. My...husband had oysters as a starter at both meals- and he said that they were some of the best he has ever had. I had the foie gras, and we both had the veal with mushrooms followed by creme brule. Delicious!! For the second lunch which included another couple, we all really enjoyed the meal. One of us had the terroir menu which included beef cheeks, and the rest of us had seafood- all was excellent. Probably the best meals we had in France on this trip! We did not have it, but several tables around us had seafood pyramids on ice with oysters, crab legs, and a whole variety of shellfish- very impressive presentation- and they all were digging in!!More
