Lovely quaint little tea room, lovely service, friendly staff. Always good quality food, I would say a little pricey but I suppose that's what you expect when everything is clearly homemade and very nice.

I regularly come in here for coffee with friends. It is a great village amenity where many of the locals drop in for a chat or sometimes just to read and enjoy the atmosphere, and there are books and toys for children. The cakes are always freshly made, my particular favourite is the chocolate cake. Dawn and her staff couldn't... More

We stopped in here on a circular walk from home, and what a friendly welcome! Coffee and a mid morning snack for two came in comfortably under 10 quid, and the cheese scone I had, made in house I later discovered, was the best I have tasted: moist and very cheesy. Easily the best venue in the area for tea... More

I took my mum for afternoon tea on Mothers Day, along with my children. Glad I booked as it was very popular. The staff were lovely and atmosphere was great. I had goat cheese and spinach quiche meal, my son had sausage roll and my mum shared the Afternoon Tea with my daughter, both of whom said that it was... More

The café is lovely and the staff helpful and friendly but the food fell short of expectations for a mother's day afternoon tea and was not good value for the money. There were not enough cake stands for us all, really not enough food, only a few really small sandwiches, very small scones with jam and cream and a choice... More

Thank you for your review. We work hard to keep the tea rooms lovely and our staff really take pride in their work. I'm very sorry that you felt our afternoon tea fell short and didn't have enough cake stands or food. It's traditional to serve two people per cake stand and as there were five of you we provided... Stopped in on a whim while driving from Folkstone to Whitstable - excellent whim. Two of us had a very nice "light" lunch (actually delicious and quite substantial). We had the Plowman's lunch, vegetarian pea soup, and the Cornish pasty lunch - all were delicious, the hot things hot and the cold things cold, and beautifully presented. Staff was friendly... More

Stopped here for a light lunch whilst on a circular walk from Lymnge. We both opted for the cheddar ploughmans. The bread was just out of the oven, with plenty of butter and accompanied with two different side salads, a separate dressing, pickles and baby onions all you would expect. The plates were groaning under the generous portions. The service... More
