Visited Saturday , parking within sight . Turned up a couple’s minutes early to be greeted by a friendly member of staff . Menu explained and order taken . Then a fifteen minute wait ( not that many there or busy ). Drinks came ,...then afternoon tea . Wraps rather than a proper sandwich with just four choices ( I had Brie and bacon ) which was nice . The pot of tea was more for show rather than use ie glass with a separate part for teabag . Needed another tea bag as it was weak , milk came in a miniature milk churn . Partner had hot chocolate which was nice . So far so so . Then desert , a cheese and herb scone which was far too small ( need to be bigger so moist as it was dry ) same for almond and cherry with cream . Both scones where small and dry ( need to be bigger not for size , so they don’t overcook and become dry ! Then a lovely lemon drizzle cake and tiffin and a shortbread type desert . Staff where excellent, but doubt I would return , wasn’t busy either . For a place that sells itself as brilliant deserts apart from lemon drizzle cake was underwhelming. And rather than a wrap done nice fresh soft crusty bread and lurpak . Not being too critical but please bigger moister scones rather than semi rock solid , lurpak rather than a sachet or other stuff , stronger tea or extra teabagMore

We were recommended Badger's by local residents when we visited Guisborough recently. We were not disappointed either! Lovely home cooked food and the coffee was the best we have tasted in a very long time. Keep it up. Especially in these dreadful times... well done!

I went to badgers with my sister for one of their breakfasts I had heard were lovely. We attended at 12:40 and were told to wait outside until seated. We did so and after a few minutes a lady came out and asked if we...booked in a very aggressive tone. After telling her no she proceeded to go inside to see if we could get seated, then told us there was a table upstairs. However we were not told we’re to sit so picked out of the 3 tables free. We choose what we wanted and waited for the lady to come back and take our order, however after waiting about 10 minutes i went downstairs to ask whether we needed to order at the till, and the lady very rudely told us to hold on they were coming. So I went back upstairs and waited another 5 minutes for someone to come take our order. We both said we wanted a breakfast and the lady told us it was too late and everything for breakfasts had been put away (considering we had been there on time to order one when we’re arrived). I thought the customer service was very poor from the lady (blonde hair) and she could of spoken to us a bit nicer. I understand it is stressful working with everything that is going on but there is no need to speak to customers like this. I also felt very uncomfortable leaving the cafe as she was stood smirking at us, and seemed to be whispering to a fellow colleague. Definitely won’t be coming back.More

The best place in Guisborough for food and drinks by a country mile. Their food is gorgeous, the staff are lovely and so is the atmosphere. I had a parmo last night and it was the best I've ever had

We visited last year and were in the area again so planned a detour to go back (which involved driving through floods). It was definitely still worth it. The breakfasts are lovely. They were COVID secure too and the staff as friendly as ever!

We visited Badgers as we were visiting Guisborough and thought it looked a nice place to eat. It far surpassed expectations. The food is amazing, everything tastes fresh and vibrant. The staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is calming and unhurried. We will definitely...visit againMore

Lovely place, gorgous food. Friendly staff. Clean and cosy, beautiful twinkly lit upstairs area. I would highly recommend and know of lots of other people who have enjoyed the food here.

Strange as it may seem this is the 1st time I have been to Badgers, I live 10 minutes walk away, I volunteer across the road, but I have now broken my duck. A pot of tea for 2, a cheese scone snd a bacon,Brie...and cranberry wrap was our order. We were seated upstairs, a little more light would have been good, but it was cosy and welcoming.u The tea came in individual square glass tea pots with loose leaf tea in infusers, a nice touch as my wife likes tea you can trot a mouse across and I don't! My wrap came with a side salad garnish and veggie crisps, beautifully filled an presented. A treat to the eye and the taste buds. My wife's choice of scone, cheese and horseradish was inspired. She loved it Friendly, charming staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. My one quibble dogs were allowed on the furniture. I am not anti-dog, but they should not be on seats!More
