If you are looking for a nice place with a good atmosphere, Gostilna Primikjiu It's one of the best options in the area of Solkan (near to Nova Gorica and the frontier with Gorizia, Italy). The place it's a litle bit difficult to find, you had to ask of the people of the town. The service and staff are very... More

This wonderful restaurant is located right across the border from Italy close to the former solkan/ salcano checkpoint. They serve all varieties of Italian and Slovenian food. Their steaks are succulent and their pizzas are a match for Italian ones across the border. Very highly recommended Rates are average.

Good food, you can eat anything from pizza to meat. In summer the location offers a cute little garden. Short waiting times and always available.

Although the restaurant is on the main road, it does not feel so. Excellent service, the waiter was very friendly and helpful. The pizza was good, it just was too salty, so I was thirsty all day.

We ate here for lunch, not a bad place, a bit noisy with good service. Food was also good, we got an apetizer with polenta and fish and a tagliata. Price is cheap. So we will come back here

This is a very good restaurant where you eat every kind of Italian and Slovenian food and where pizza is much better than ANY pizza in Gorizia zone! Shame on those expensive and useless pizzerias of Gorizia city where owners and waiters are not able to satisfied their clients! You need to book it on weekends and holidays! Servings are... More
