Not a huge choice of food, but what there is, is excellent and inexpensive. The wine choice is extensive and I had one of the nicest Rose wines that I have drunk in a long time. The service is very efficient and friendly. I cannot...think of a better place to have a light lunch in the area.More

We stopped into Duras on a Sunday for a quick walk around and to pass the time, the main Chateau was open along with about five or six restaurants. This little place is just on the main road through the small town and as it...was a hot day the kids wanted ice-cream, this looked the most inviting. A good selection of ice creams and a nice seating area out front to enjoy them, two ice creams and two coffees came to 8.90 euros. The chap who served us was friendly and helpful and had a great moustache, the menu also looked good and a tapas style as others have mentioned. Would definitely return for dinner and the kids left happy which made my life easier for about 1 hour.More

Stumbled upon by chance some years ago, we keep coming back, a delightful setting, simple assiettes done well and a good choice of reasonably priced, delicious local wines. The service is charming - just as French restaurants used to be - with warmth and professionalism

Fabulous lunch , tapas style, in the small square outside the restaurant. You could not wish for a better place to pop in for lunch. We feel fortunate to have found it almost by accident. Easy free parking next door and a lovely village to...explore together with amazing views of the surrounding countryside.More

This is a lovely spot in a very pretty town. The selection of wines is first rate, the service is very friendly and professional and the meats and cheeses are top quality. We loved it! Great for lunch.

Friendly and warm-hearted people serving sweet and savoury treats and excellent coffee (and real hot chocolate, my friends tell me). This has become a regular haunt!

Popped in for a quick bite , restaurant right next to the castle , very welcoming . We had a mixed charcuterie platter and a local ewes cheese plate , the truffle ham was memorable . A local bottle of the oaked red was full...bodied and delicious . We were full but had a couple of boules of the home made ice cream, the lemon meringue one really was the best I’ve ever had . If you like hams , chorizo , local cheeese and wine , this is the place for you . Just remembered ! The local Sauvignon blanch was excellent as wellMore

This is a lovely little restaurant for locals and visitors alike - always a warm welcome, and now serving a selection of British beers from Adnams and Black Sheep breweries!!

Lovely place to stop for a glass of wine and some tapas or a "plat". Good seating area outside in the summer. A pleasant environment and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. The ice cream is particularly good! Quieter in winter but still a...good place to relax with a glass of wine.More

This little cafe/bar/bistro used to offer a unique and pleasant range of assiettes and a selection of wines that were reasonable quality and value. During a recent return visit it seems that the previous patron, M Blancheton I think, is no longer involved and it...shows. It appears to now aim at attracting only English tourists who will not return. A platter of average charcuterie and cheese at €22 was poor. I won't return on any future visits to Duras. Shame.More
