A regular meeting place with one of my friends. Good food always well presented, cooked and served by himself, the proprietor. Always a delicious amuse bouche and a cafe gourmande to die for.

A chance stop gave us a very pleasant experience. The food was precisely and skilfully prepared. Service was faultless by a middle-aged man who was also cooking: the owner perhaps? Kidneys to start, followed by Quercynoise salad (lots of gesiers/gizzards), then tarte tatin, plus wine and a noisette came to less than 20 euros - fantastic quality and value. A... More

We visited this small restaurant again this year. The menu du jour is very good value at €15 for an amuse bouche and three courses. Good food, well prepared and nicely served in very tasteful surroundings. Conveniently located close to the centre of Prayssac, it is one of a dozen or so excellent local eateries within easy driving distance of... More

Second time here and it is still very good . Had lunch out in the covered seating area which provided enough shade on a hot day. Chose the Paella which was everything you find in a paella but all cooked separately and it was delicious and most unusual . I thought the rice had the best flavour ever. Tarte Tatin... More

Dropped in for lunch. A very good choice and an interesting way of pricing it all. A really good mix and match. My wife had Kidneys cooked in port and Osso Bucco, I had baked eggs over spinach with black pudding and the oven baked fish. A half litre of local rose to wash it all down. The portion sizes... We landed here on a chance recommendation of a local. Very good food, very nicely presented and good value. Our only problem was with the waitress who was more interested in talking with a friend at the bar than watching her customers! That said, we will return next time we are in the area because the meal was delightful.

Went on a Friday night and we were a bit worried when we were the only customers for quite a while (3 more while we were there and some more arrived as we were leaving). Actually surprised they aren't turning people away though after the meal we had. The food was absolutely excellent and the complimentary appetiser (shot glass of... More

We eat here often and and, winter or summer, have never had a poor meal. Recently we were five at table, all experienced travellers, and were impressed by the excellent food, thoughtful presentation and attentive, but not intrusive, service. With this quality the place should always be packed, even on a wet night. A pleasure not to be missed

We have been to this restaurant a number of times but since the departure of Florent Sarlin in 2012, we have been disappointed. All change today, an excellent meal, well presented and very good value at €15 for three courses. They are beginning to get things right again!

Thank Lyn D
