The Gabrielskloof Wine Estate is absolutely a stunning place. The views from the restauarant are spectacular. The grounds are well kept and the winery and restaurant are definitvely inviting. Unfortunately we can't report the same for the cuisine. We ordered a Lamb Rump having received rave revierws and having seen several herds nearby the estate. Our Rump was one mass... More

Good day Peter I am so sorry to see that you did not have a good experience at our restaurant. As you know we always try and please each client and therefore we do very much appreciate your feedback. I agree that we had a sml period where the lamb that come in(free range) were more on the fat side... More

We found this place by accident and we were so glad we did, amazing. The food was sublime, the service superb and the venue was amazing. After breakfast we purchased Strawberry Jam which was the best jam that i have ever tasted in my life and i am 64. If you go to South Africa ensure this venue is on... More

The food is a experience for all of your senses. Every element on my plate was perfectly season, which was the first time that I ever experienced that at a restaurant. With every bite my palate had a small and subtle orgasm. The one dish that I would highly recommend is the Salt and Pepper squid caesar salad. The burgers... More

Attention to detail, warm and friendly service and great food. This is what we felt when we stopped for breakfast at Gabrielskloof Restaurant on Saturday morning. The owners of the restaurant, Frans and Mariaan Groenewald, are totally hands-on and the staff welcoming and attentive. A most delicious breakfast. I think the best omelette I have had yet. Thank you for... More

We enjoyed a brilliant lunch here today. The extensive menu makes choices very difficult. But the sticky duck leg & the Camembert Burger were both winners. The desert were different to the norm but excellent. The Gabrielskloof wines are totally beyond SUPERB. We will be back.

Went to Gabrielskloof for wine tasting and lunch. Wine tasting was set-up in cosy tasting room and owner did a very well informed tasting - not to much technical stuff, lovely wines. Afterwards had lunch in restaurant - what a treat. And a little deli to die for! Walked out with bag full of brownies. A must stop if you... More

We tasted some fantastic wine. Later we had lunch at the restaurant. Modern with a warm touch, I would discribe the interireur, what I realy like. Today was a bit cold, also inside. We thought they would have a fire at the beautiful fireplace in the house. That would have been nice actually. The food was delicious by the way!

I visited Gabrielskloof with friends during the Bot River spring wine weekend. I have visited the winery before too and have always been impressed. Their wines are excellent and good value. They have a great range of whites and reds and I have to say they were all good. My favourites were the Five Arches and the exceptionally well balanced... More
